Let me guide you around Kichijoji, a vibrant neighborhood just 15 minutes out from Shinjuku that is often regarded as Tokyo's premier jazz town. Consistently ranked as one of Tokyo's top three most desirable places to live, Kichijoji offers laid back cafes, inviting eateries, charming bars, and diverse shopping, all set against the stunning backdrop of Inokashira Park. The plan below is only an example of what we can do. I will be happy to tailor the plan based on your musical preferences.
Inokashira-kōen Station
After a 2-minute walk along Inokashira Park, we will arrive at a jazz kissa where we can enjoy coffee while listening to rare vinyl records.
Head out for a quick bite or drink at Harmonica Yokocho. Named for its harmonica-like grid layout, Harmonica Yokocho is a labyrinth of tiny bars, eateries, and shops that hark back to the Showa era.
We’ll end the night at one of Tokyo’s most beloved jazz clubs. This cozy basement venue features friendly crowds, warm acoustics, and exceptional performances, making it the perfect spot to savor the rich sounds of live jazz.
