Koishikawa Korakuen garden
Koishikawa Korakuen garden is a famous garden that was built approximately 400 years ago in the early Edo period by the Mito Tokugawa family, a relative of the Tokugawa shogunate, and is said to have been regarded as a model for later Japanese gardens. As we stroll around the pond, which is designed to look like a lake, we can experience the secret art of Japanese garden design.
Shinjuku Gyoen garden
Shinjuku Gyoen is a unique garden that can be enjoyed as a botanical garden that is based on the feudal lord garden and combines a Japanese garden with a Western-style Garden and a modern greenhouse. Especially during the cherry blossom season in the spring and the maple leaves in the fall, we can enjoy the variety of flowers and trees that is advantage as a botanical garden.
Meiji Shrine
Meiji Shrine is one of the most worshiped shrines in Japan and is dedicated to Emperor Meiji, the first emperor to live in Tokyo. Although it is located in the center of Tokyo, we can feel the quiet and sacred atmosphere when we step inside. In the inner garden of the sacred shrine, we can also enjoy precious plants that have been preserved since the Edo period.

Transportation fee for guests: about 1000 yen/person, lunch: 2000～3000 yen/person for guests and me.
Admission fee for guests, Koishikawa korakuen: 300yen/ person, Shinjuku gyoen 500yen/person, Inner garden of Meiji shrine: 500 yen/person
Tour Important Information
*This tour will not be operated in Monday, because of some gardens will be closed in Monday.
* This tour involves a lot of walking, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes.
* Please let me know in advance if you have any food allergies or other dietary restrictions.
Basically, this tour is a walking tour using public transportation, mainly Tokyo Metro (Subway).
Tokyo Metro 24-hour Ticket is 600 yen for adults, 300 yen for children. In some cases, you may use other public transportation such as JR Line.
We can flexibly change the gardens included in the itinerary according to your interest.
On Monday, this tour will not be operated because of Shinjuku gyoen will be closed on Monday.

“four architects spend two weeks in Japan, 3 days in Tokyo”
We had a number of buildings we wanted to see in Tokyo as part of our architectural tour.
