“An exceptional two-day Tokyo experience with Atsuko”
My son and I spent two days exploring Tokyo with Atsuko, and she was outstanding from start to finish. She blended deep local knowledge with a warm, easygoing personality, making every stop—from iconic sights to tucked-away neighborhoods—feel meaningful and fun. Atsuko was perfectly organized and always on time, while also being flexible and tailoring our itinerary as she learned what we enjoyed most. She helped us navigate trains and subways effortlessly, shared fascinating history and cultural context, and introduced us to fantastic places to eat that we never would have found on our own. Communication was clear and seamless, and her recommendations for what to do before and after our tour were spot-on. We left feeling like we’d seen “the real Tokyo,” not just the highlights. If you want a guide who is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in giving you a great experience, book Atsuko—you’ll be in excellent hands.

“Like Traveling with a Best Friend”
Right after we booked our ANA tickets, one of the first reservations we made was for a private tour of Tokyo on our first full day in Japan. This tour was important for us since we wanted to have the chance to ask questions about customs and travel, as well as take our first steps in this amazing city with a skilled guide. For that tour, I requested Atsuko-san, largely driven by reviews that commented on how touring with her was like traveling with your best friend. I want to confirm that those reviews are 100% true. From the moment of meeting Atsuko-san in our hotel lobby until the point where we had to say good-bye, it was a wonderful time - exploring the city, enjoying food together, crossing the city via subways and buses, and learning about customs and history. Our itinerary spanned the Tsukiji Outer Market, Hamarikyu Gardens, Tokyo Station, and Meiji Jingu. It's hard to choose a favorite moment from our time together, but we'd like to share two that will always stand out. Hamarikyu Gardens is stunningly beautiful and serene. It is the perfect place to walk and talk; however, we'll always remember it as where we joyfully laughed as we all tried (very unsuccessfully) to identify the different types of fish swimming in the tidal pools. Tokyo Station also stood out, but in a much different way. While we had lined up hotels in six different cities for our trip, we had left train reservations to be done "on site, as needed". For this, Atsuko-san's help was invaluable and it really showcased how much she cared about us and wanted to help in any way possible. Since that time, we have successfully negotiated seven train trips and I credit Atsuko-san for giving us the know-how and confidence to do this. If we could give six stars for our time with Atsuko-san, we would do so without hesitation. It truly was a memorable experience!
