About Tour Guide Nobuo K.

Hi, I'm Nobuo. Please call me "Nob" or "Noby".

I am a national certified English tour guide.

I became a tour guide, after working for a foreign company for over a quarter century.

I am interested in the Edo (the old name of Tokyo) culture. And I also join volunteer groups which are "the Edo-Tokyo Museum" and "the Imperial Palace East Gardens", which used to be the Edo Castle.

You will learn the present Japanese culture, history, the Japanese way of thinking, and a Japanese sense of beauty based on the Edo culture by joying the tour. I am sure that I can provide you with the most impressive tour.

I hope you enjoy your stay in Japan. I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!

Flexible Tokyo Tour

Kono was very flexible with our changes, we walked to Tsukiji Jogai Market, then took a train to Meiji Jingu Shrine (great history info), Harajuku (Takeshida-street) and Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden (very pretty) and he also took us to Shibuya Crossing and explained how to get the train back to our hotel. Was great to learn the train system and Kono also helped put our father and kids in a taxi back to the hotel as they were too tired to finish the tour (lots of walking). Thanks for the great photos and your help during the day Kono :)

Trudi-san, It’s very kind of you. Thank you for joining the tour. Also thank you the great comments. I was afraid typhoons were approching, but I'm glad I heard that the weather was nice after that. Also I am happy that you enjoyed the tour and the rest of your stay Japan. Best Regards, Kono

A pleasant day

We have spent a pleasant time with Kono-san. He shared many interesting facts about history and culture during our trip, and he was kind as well. He helped us to stick to the shedule so we could see all the sights we have discussed. Without him, we couldn’t see the half of it in this short period of time, becasuse we couldn’t figure out so quickly where to go( for example in the subway or in the market). We also visited places that were very interesting and we wouldn’t have dared to enter by myself.
