I was born and raised in Kawagoe, a charming historic city located just next to Tokyo in Saitama Prefecture. Two years ago, I graduated from university here in Japan, and I now work as both a tour guide and a study abroad support advisor.
Three years ago, I had the life-changing opportunity to study abroad in Vancouver, Canada. The warmth and hospitality of the locals left a deep impression on me. “Great Intro to Tokyo!!”
We had a great time! We wanted to visit “must see places” and some more quiet locals only areas, and our guide took us there. We learned how to use the subway system and tasted some fantastic foods. Our guide was very cheerful and shared some Japanese culture trends. Highly recommend.

“Shunta helped plan a great trip; Kody and Masa helped execute it”
My husband and I booked a private tour to visit sites in Numazu connected with my family history, with a possible stop in Hakone. Shunta helped plan a great itinerary but became ill last minute—yet he arranged for Kota (Kody) and Masato (Masa) to take care of us so we didn’t have to cancel. They were wonderful! Kody went above and beyond, calling ahead to temples so we could have meaningful conversations about my family, and Masa was a safe, friendly driver. They even found us a fantastic seafood spot at Numazu Port and managed to fit in a quick visit to Hakone’s floating torii. A truly special and memorable day thanks to Kody and Masa!
