Shinjuku Kabukicho and Omoide Yokocho Evening Tour
This is the evening walking tour of Shinjuku downtown, which is the biggest amusement district in Tokyo. You can see many interesting spots like the basement food floor of a department store, Hanazono Shrine, Golden Gai, Kabukicho streets, pachinko parlors, Tokyo Metropolitan Government Observatory and Omoide Yokocho.

Food Floor of the Isetan Department Store
Japanese department stores usually have food floors at the basement floors, and they’re called “Depachika”. It is a unique place where you can find a variety of delicious Japanese and international food.
Hanazono Shrine
The magnificent Shrine is dedicated to the god of entertainment and has mysterious Golden-Gai streets just behind it.
Golden Gai
It is a small area composed of a network of six narrow alleys, connected by even narrower passageways. Over 200 tiny shanty-style bars and clubs are squeezed into the area.
Kabukicho streets
The area is famous as one of the busiest entertainment district in Japan.
TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku Building
A life-sized Gozilla head looks out over the city from the eighth floor of the building. There is a big pachinko parlor at the second floor. You can see how popular pachinko is in Japan.
Omoide Yokocho
"Omoide-Yokocho (Corner of Memories)" at Shinjuku West gate used to be a black market after the Second World War and now you will find many small and old stalls of yakitori, ramen and casual Japanese food along a narrow street.
Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building
It is famous among tourists for its free observation deck on the 45th floor which provide good panoramic views of Tokyo and beyond. It is open till 9:30pm.

I will leave you at Omoide Yokocho where you can have street food like YAKITORI, after showing how to go back to your hotel if you’d like.
This tour doesn’t include food or drink.
In this tour, we will take public transportation and walk a lot, so please wear comfortable shoes.
Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Observatory is closed mainly on the first and third Tuesday.

“Amazing day out with Beautiful Chiaki ”
Our family of 5 (including 3 teenage boys) were met at our apartment by Chiaki. She was very welcoming warm and friendly. We spoke about our plan for the day and saw some wonderful sights. Being a busy Saturday we all had a wonderful time and Chiaki was sure that we stuck together. After finishing off our afternoon eating delicious street food under the cherry blossoms, we made our way back to our station and said goodbye. Thank you Chiaki for a thoughtful and fun introduction to the sights of Tokyo. 10 out of 10 :)
