I live in SHITAMACHI, Tokyo, or an old residential town near ASAKUSA and UENO. My hobby is strolling. I walk around this area almost every day. I know even the smallest path, big and small museums, workshops of artisans, an impressive view of a gigantic tree, a beer bar in an impressive old house, unique souvenir shops, cats living in Yanaka, and many, many other attractive spots in this area.
You can expect a day that no one reads about in guidebooks.
So!
I hope you name me the navigator for your fantastic memory-making tour!!!!
I’m not so young, but I still love rock’n roll music. If you want to enjoy live music in Tokyo, I can also arrange the venue and occasion to suit your mood and boom.

“Fun in Tokyo”
Tak is a kind man who planned an itinerary to our interests and then adjusted it to our physical needs (area 80 and 90) and whims. The result was two delightful days in Tokyo with someone who could show us temples, talk baseball and take us to the Tokyo Dome, and get us in to visit the Tokyo National Museum and let us try a wide variety of street food.

The pleasant spring sunshine made our walk so peaceful. I would be happy if you could enjoy the days in Asakusa and Ueno, the towns I love. I only wish we'd had more time at the museum. I truly hope you return to Japan and discover more cultural treasures...and food, of course. I appreciate you and Mark from the bottom of my heart. See you again someday. Thank you!

Exactly! I know everything... except for the things I don't. Thank you for only asking the things I happened to know. I still remember your happy faces when you were crossing Shibuya Scramble and found pretty, impressive souvenirs. There's no more reward for me than the smiling faces of my guests. You gave me the best one. I wish you could return to Japan someday. Then, I'll take you to a splendid bar. Best regards, Tak

“Tak Knows Hospitality!”
Tak showed remarkable hospitality. From the moment we communicated online to the end of the tour, he always made sure I was comfortable with the tour, the timing and even offered advice about my other activities in Tokyo. Upon meeting, he came bearing a sweet little gift for me! The highlight of the tour was Hagoita-Ichi (Decorative Paddle Fair) at the Senso-ji Temple grounds where we shared some Takoyaki. Or maybe the highlight was the end of the tour downing a well-earned beer after all the walking, talking and subway riding. Tak knows and loves his Asakusa neighbourhood and it shows! I can’t wait to return and tour with Tak again!

Dear Linda, Hope you are having a great day. I'd love for our tour to be the second-best memory you had in Japan, after the HOT_SPA! Hopefully, the German beer in Tokyo wasn't that bad. As you saw, Tokyo is a kind of chaos where old, new, funky, and funny cultures mingle and coexist. One day isn't enough to show you my favorite Tokyo. I wish we could have another day in the future. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. Sending from a much warmer town than yours. Tak

Asakusa, 3 hours.
Asakusa is not only a temple town but also a traditional town of common peoples's culture. In the typical Tokyo Shitamachi (old residential town), there is Japanese Broadway, interesting and unique river view and many many shops worth to visit. You can enjoy the essence of Shitamachi.

One-day tour in Tokyo with a focus on your preferred shopping and entertainment.
After the hotel meetup, in the original plan, the tour starts from visiting Ueno Park, walking around the big pond, checking out Toshogu Shrine and Saigo Statue. Afterwards, depending on the preference, visiting the Ueno Zoo or National Museum (or not). Grabbing lunch nearby, then heading out to Ameyoko Shotengai closeby, potentially trying karaoke & game centers as well. Last, heading to Shibuya to check out the famous Shibuya Crossing, wrapping up shopping/dining/entertainment you like.
