Hello, my name is Kyoko. I am a National licensed tour guide.
After graduating from college in the United States, I worked as an editor for an international in-flight magazine. It gave me the opportunity to travel to many countries, including Europe, America, Asia and Mid East, to gather research for my articles.
I live in Tokyo with my family, I sing in a local chorus group and I enjoy cooking Asian food like Indian, Thai, Burmese and Korean food.
Being a tour guide for group or private tours, I get to meet people and learn about different cultures from all over the world. It has become my most favorite thing to do.
I am very enthusiastic about sharing my Japanese culture and hospitality to make your travel experience memorable.
As your guide, I will show you the beauty of Japan!

Dear Susan-san, thank you very much for taking your time to write this super great review. And first of all, thank you for choosing me as your guide. From the first time we met, I fell in love with your smile and kindness. And we had a lot of super wonderful time even during the holidays, we didn't have any hard time walking around Tokyo, Hakone and Kamakura! Now I miss you very much. I am looking forward to seeing you again soon! I hope you are going to have a wonderful time in rest of your stay in Japan!
“A wonderful day”
Having been to Japan once before, we had a good idea of what we wished to see. We contacted Kyoto and after some discussion, asked her to prepare a personalised itinerary. We were very pleased with her suggestions. She showed us a good mix of local shrines, back streets, local shops showing various crafts, well as some of the hustle and bustle of central Tokyo. Her knowledge of the history and customs of the various areas was extensive and very informative and interesting. But even so, we managed to tell and show her a few things she didn’t know about (lawn bowls for instance). Kyoto’s English was quite good, but above all she was professional, funny and very personable. We certainly enjoyed her company. All in all, a very good day. Thank you Kyoto

Terry-San, thank you very much for your great, generous, and warm review! I understand that you are occupied with your cruise travel, and I appreciate your time in writing this review. Your review encourage me to continue being a tour guide, Terry-san. I am so happy to hear that you liked my suggestions and the tour. The day of the tour with you and Sandra was a great day for me as well, with lots of relaxing conversations, delicious local snacks, and bagels. Sharing bagels and trying different flavors together was an amazing experience. I am still able to feel the pleasant air and gentle sunshine through the leaves. I was astonished to learn so much about trees and birds from Terry-san. Terry-San's pictures were incredible. I appreciate you sharing your photos. And Sandra-San explained all about the nature and culture of Canada and Australia. We are similar in some ways and very different in others. The assistance of Sandra-San in comprehending English correctly was exceptional (such as using the word 'disgusting' :D)! I would be very happy if we saw each other in Japan, Australia, or Canada someday again! I am looking forward to sharing moments together. Thank you very much for sharing your precious moment, Terry-san and Sandra-san! I hope you'll have a wonderful trip.

“Fabulous morning in Tokyo with Kyoko I.”
Kyoko thank you so much for being our guide, you made me and my family feel so comfortable and welcomed. Kyoko met us at our hotel which was perfect as we were not confident with how to use the rail and underground system. Kyoko patiently showed us how to best use the suica cards and our JR passes and explained the transport system which proved invaluable for our travel around Japan for the next 2 weeks. We let Kyoko guide us and show us the best places to go and we were not disappointed, it was perfect. Kyoko is so knowledgeable and made our tour fun, e highly recommend Kyoko. Thank you Kyoko again for going above and beyond and for being part of our introduction to Japan. X
