Originally known as a temple town but has been popularized for its old town houses. Here, you will visit the "Asakura Sculpture Museum", constructed about 115 years ago. Feel the essence and sophistication of a traditional Japanese home.
(Entrance fee costs ¥500 ) Then I'd like you to enjoy "Yanaka Ginza", a nostalgic shopping mall selling daily dish, fish, rice, sake... Here you will find what locals eat and drink every day.

HI. I am Keiko. I'm a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter - Your local tour guide.I was born in Tokyo and studied Japanese history in the University. I used to work as a junior high school English teacher for over 30 years . So I know about Tokyo a lot. One of my hobbies is Japanese history and finding similarities with world history is very interesting and so much fun for me.
Tokyo is an attractive city where you can both experience the marriage of both traditional and modern culture. I'd be more than happy to share with you my rich knowledge and experience. I'll be grateful to arrange a tour for you according to your preferences. I'm looking forward to having a good time with you and I hope to be a part of your stay here in Japan.
“Excellent Guide”
Keiko was on time to our tour, which is something I value greatly. She detailed the history on exhibits we passed by as well as relevant things we visited during the tour. Would book again.

Thank you very much for your wonderful review of my tour. We experienced both modern and traditional Japanese culture today such as anime and KAWAII maids at Akiba, swords and sumo at Ryogoku and a temple and Tokyo Sky Tree at Asakusa. The Illuminated tower looked like a jewelry in the sky. I hope your great autumn days in Japan.
“A Most Enjoyable Guide and Tour”
Highly recommend Keiko’s tour of Ueno Park and Yanaka. It was the perfect blend of history, the serenity of the shrines and temples, art, and food. Keiko was very responsive, flexible, and informative. We really enjoyed spending time with her.

Thank you very much for your wonderful review of my tour. Fortunately, it was a fine weather and a perfect day for walking around Ueno Park and Yanaka area. There, we could experience the traditional atmosphere of Japan such as Toshogu-shrine with old stone lanterns, Hanazono Inari shrine with many red-tori-gates and OISHII typical Japanese style lunch in an old town house...etc. I hope you will enjoy Japan as much as possible. ARIGATO!!
“Keiko is a great Guide”

Thank you very much for your warm review of my tour. It was fun and comfortable riding around Tokyo in a van. We visited both traditional and modern part of Tokyo. At Asakusa, you tasted Ningyo-yaki and prayed your wishes. At Shibuya, you experienced crossing and saw a lot of KAWAII girls. You tasted authentic Japanese style lunch such as YUBA, TEMPULA, TOFU... etc. You learned a new useful word, SUMIMASEN. I hope your days in Japan will be great. Arigato-gozaimashita!!
