The temple town of Asakusa, has been popular for people from all walks of life for more than 400 years. You will see a lot of small shops selling traditional Japanese souvenirs and street foods along the promenade to the temple. The Buddha here is believed to make your wishes come true. The beautiful shrine next to it is an important national property, constructed in 1649.
Shibuya is a newly-developed town known worldwide for the ‘Shibuya Crossing’. Because of its wonderful visuals and vivid atmosphere, it was used as the location for some famous movies like Bio Hazard Four, Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, Lost in Translation, among others. The story of the loyal dog, Hachiko was made into a Hollywood movie and its statue has become one of the most also a popular tourist destinations in Shibuya.
After a 15-minute walk in the forest, you will come across a square facing the shrine building. It is surrounded by pine trees. Most visitors say they feel very calm and peaceful here. You can buy good luck charms from the shops or write down your wishes of good fortune!

“A delightful guide!”
Keiko was lovely and very informative on the history of Tokyo and Japan. She was very thoughtful on ways to show us things without having to spend extra money (eg view Shibuya Scramble from above when exiting train station rather than paying to go up to a rooftop bar). We highly recommend Keiko!

(94 reviews)Thank you very much for your warm review of my tour. You visited both traditional and modern part of Tokyo. You tasted traditional Japanese sweets, red sweet beans, and trendy snack, "melon pan". I was so happy to hear your saying " totemo Oishii". I heartily wish your great days in Japan. Please say hello to your "kawaii" monster and gentlemen.
“Keiko kept us going!”
She was very informative and her English is very good. We did have a few communication difficulties, but nothing important. We had Keiko for three days in Tokyo and she also showed us how easy it is to use the subway in Tokyo. We were so lucky to have got it perfectly for the sakura season this year!

(94 reviews)Thank you very much for your kind message. It was my greatest pleasure to show you Tokyo in full bloom with sakura trees for three days. Especially Chidorigafuchi moat, Shinjukugyoen park and East garden of Imperial Palace were breathtakingly beautiful. However everywhere we visited was so busy that I am afraid I was not able to choose good lunch places for you. I hope all of you would go back to your country only with good memories of Japan. Arigatou !!
“Excellent knowledge of history and a lovely person”
We enjoyed our tour of the Shibuya area and surrounds with Keiko. Her English is excellent. We were a party of four people and Keiko was very patient with us and our many questions. She has an exceptional knowledge of Japanese history and the local areas. We highly recommend Keiko for anyone looking for an exceptional guide. She is a lovely person also. Thankyou Keiko.

(94 reviews)Thank you very much for your wonderful review of my tour. We walked around Shibuya & Harajuku area like residents, not like tourists. That area is modern part of Tokyo. But interestingly it has two faces, modern and historical. I was happy to show you both of them. You saw fashionable and KAWAII people as well as traditional wedding parades. I hope all of you will have great days in Japan. ARIGATO GOZAIMASHITA !!
