Visit some historical buildings
Join a relaxing walking tour through the historic heart of Yokohama. Starting from Kannai Station, we stroll along Nihon-Odori, one of Japan’s first Western-style boulevards, surrounded by beautiful trees and impressive historic buildings.
As we explore the city’s architectural landmarks, you will learn how Yokohama transformed from a small fishing village into Japan’s leading international port after its opening in 1859. Discover stories of foreign merchants, cultural exchange, and the innovations that helped shape modern Japan.
We also visit to a rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Yokohama’s skyline, waterfront, and historic district.
The Red Brick Warehouse
The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse is one of the city's most iconic landmarks and a symbol of Yokohama’s history as an international trading port. Built in the early 20th century, these distinctive red-brick buildings originally served as customs warehouses where imported and exported goods were stored during Japan’s rapid modernization.
Today, the Red Brick Warehouse beautifully combines historic architecture with modern attractions. Visitors can enjoy shopping, meal, seasonal events, and stunning views of Yokohama Bay. The site offers a unique glimpse into the city’s maritime heritage while showcasing its vibrant contemporary culture, making it one of Yokohama’s most popular destinations.
Lunch
There are plenty of restaurants around the Red Brick Warehouse area, and if you walk to the Bashamichi district, you'll find many local restaurants where you can enjoy lunch.
Experiences at water front area and heading towards the final destination
After lunch, you have some options to enjoy exploring Yokohama’s vibrant waterfront area. Take a relaxing walk through Hammerhead Park, where you can enjoy beautiful views of Yokohama Bay and the modern skyline. The open waterfront setting is perfect for photos and a leisurely stroll.
You may also visit Yokohama World Porters, a popular shopping and entertainment complex offering a wide variety of stores, souvenirs, fashion, and local snacks.
For a unique and fun experience, explore the Cup Noodles Museum, where you can learn about the history of instant noodles and even create your own original Cup Noodles to take home as a souvenir.
Whether you prefer sightseeing, shopping, photography, or interactive cultural experiences, this time allows you to enjoy Yokohama in the way that suits you best and create your own memorable moments by the waterfront.
To reach our final destination, the Minato Mirai district, you can choose between a scenic walk along Kishamichi Promenade, a former railway line offering beautiful waterfront views, or a ride on the Yokohama Air Cabin, Japan’s first urban ropeway. Both options provide unique perspectives of Yokohama’s harbor and skyline, making the journey itself a memorable part of the experience.
