Hello! I’m Your Friendly Guide to Japan’s Kanto Region I’m based in the beautiful Tochigi Prefecture and absolutely love sharing Japan’s amazing culture, history, and hidden spots with visitors like you. This means I can give you insider tips and deep insights that go beyond the usual tourist trails. *What I Offer* I mainly guide around the Kanto area, which includes Tokyo, Yokohama, Saitama, Ibaraki, Gunma, and of course, Tochigi. Here are some of the fun tours I can take you on: - **Utsunomiya Cultural Immersion:** Spend a day discovering the unique charm and tasty eats of Utsunomiya. - **Tokyo All-in-One:** Explore both East and West Tokyo in a single day for a full city experience. - **Anime & Pop Culture Tours:** Tailor-made adventures based on your favorite shows, games, and characters. - **Kanto Day Trips:** Visit iconic spots like Nikko’s stunning temples or Kamakura’s historic sites. I also love guiding in other parts of Japan, especially Kyoto—I’ve seen every World Heritage Site there! Plus, I often run tours in Osaka, Nara, Nagoya, Hikone, and more, all easy to reach by train. *Customize Your Journey* Every tour is flexible and designed just for you. To make your trip even more memorable, I’ll create a free, beautifully crafted photo album with music from your tour—perfect for sharing or keeping as a souvenir. Fumi M.
Born and bred in Tokyo I am still living in the suburbs of Tokyo. I spent several years in the U.S. and the UK and wanted to show international visitors around Japan in return for the hospitality I had received in foreign countries. After coming back from the UK, I obtained the qualification of the National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter. I can guide guests to every corner of Tokyo including areas off the beaten track. As a history fan I can tell you a historical episode behind the scenes. From a local perspective I can explain how we Japanese are getting along. Since I have science and technology backgrounds, I can give you a tour of scientific or technical things as well..

Nasu Heisei-no-mori Forest walk and Nasu Highland
We go to Nasu by motorway and stop at Sesshoseki (Killing stone) and then to Nasu Heisei-no-mori Forest. We walk there around a couple of hours and have lunch. There is no restaurant in that area so that you should buy your lunch at one of the covenience stores on the way to Nasu. After lunch if the weather permits we go to the ninth station of Chausudake mountain by ropeway. We enjoy spectacular scenery from there. Then dropping off at the visitor center to learn about Nasu. We pass through Nasu Imperial villa and we will drop by some souvenir shops if you like.

Jack guided my clients through the history and temples of Nikko. Thanks to him, they were able to visit places that would have been difficult to explore on their own. They truly enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Japan. Thank you, Jack, for helping them create such a wonderful memory of Japan. He is a highly recommended guide!

Hi Aiko, I'm sorry not to respond sooner. I was swamped due to the cherry blossom season. And I was in the hospital to check up on my health. Your clients were very nice people. The only thing I didn't enjoy was that they didn't eat lunch. They asked me to skip lunch both days. We had a Macha break, though. They didn't have any coffee and tea, but they love Macha and Sencha. It was challenging to find one of those places in Nikko and Mashiko. Thank you very much for your comment. Jack

“4 days with Nao san”
If you’re looking for something with perfect English who understands everything you say, then Nao is not for you. But if you’re looking for an excellent guide who will make your dream itineraries come true, then Nao san is for you. Nao is professional, flexible, and knowledgeable. He worked very hard so that I could see everything on my list in Tokyo, and even took us somewhere we didn’t expect: who knew there was a Statue of Liberty by Tokyo Harbor?!! The Tokyo National Park was closed when we got there, and he came back to Tokyo the next day to take us there. That’s above and beyond! In Nikko, he checked the boat schedule so that we had the time to see everything, and again, he made everything fit into our day. Thank you, Nao san, for an unforgettable expérience!
