Originally created in the 17th century, Shukkeien is a beautiful Japanese garden with a history that extends far beyond its peaceful scenery. After the atomic bombing, it became a place of refuge after the atomic bombing. Here, beauty, culture, and the memories of Hiroshima come together in one remarkable place.

Explore Hiroshima’s history as we visit Ground Zero, the Atomic Bomb Dome, the Children’s Peace Monument, and Peace Memorial Museum.
