Fukuroda Falls Car Tour
In this tour, I will guide you Fukuroda Falls of Daigo Town, one of the most popular tourist spots in Ibaraki , and some attractive spots around it.
Located in the northwestern part of Ibaraki , Digo Town is a place rich in nature. In addition to scenic spots , you can also enjoy gourmet foods such as apples, shamo chickens, tea, Japan soba noodles, yuba cuisine, and local beer. Alkaline hot springs are also popular. Please enjoy the charm of Daigo Town through this tour.
Meeting Point
JR Hitachi Station (or At your Hotel in Iwaki City at 9 am)
- Day trips from Tokyo and Mito are available. *If you take the Limited Express Hitachi departing from Tokyo Station at 7:52 am, you will arrive at Hitachi Station at 9:41 am. * If you take the local train departing from Mito Station at 9:19 am, you will arrive at Hitachi Station at 9:47 am. The current station building of Hitachi Station was built in 2011. The beautiful glass-covered building is very popular, and the station building offers a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean.
Tsukimachi Falls, Daigo Town
It is a waterfall with a height of 17 meters.
Here has become increasingly popular in recent years.
You can enter the back of the waterfall without getting wet.
Many maples are planted along the road to the waterfall, and the beauty is exceptional, especially during the autumn foliage season.
The soba restaurant near the waterfall is popular.
Central Daigo (Lunch)
There are some wonderful privately owned restaurants and cafes in Daiko. Please taste local cuisine here.
I recommend eating at a retro café or oyakodon(chicken and egg on rice) at a Japan restaurant, but please let me know if you have any requests.
After lunch, please enjoy shopping at the roadside station nearby.
Fukuroda Falls
Fukuroda Falls is one of the three famous waterfalls in Japan and boasts a height of 120 meters and a width of 73 meters.
You can enjoy the beautiful changes of the four seasons.
Admire the stunning views from the observation deck.
Ryujin Big Suspension Bridge, Hitachi Ota City (Short Stop)
The bridge is 375 meters long and is a famous spot for bungee jumping.
Enjoy the magnificent view from the bridge.

JR Takahagi Station(See you Off)
*If you take the Limited Express Hitachi departing from Takahagi Station at 4:50 pm, you will arrive at Tokyo Station at 6:43pm.
*If you take the local train departing from Takahagi Station at 4:58 pm, you will arrive at Mito Station at 5:42 pm.
Takahagi has a beautiful autumn foliage spot called Hananuki Valley. If you have time, I will show you around the valley in the fall.

*The type of the vehicle used to conduct the tour is small sized hatchback. It may be a bit hard for guests who are over 175 cm tall to sit in the back seat for a long time.

“Fukushima Coastal Tour”
I spent an amazing day with Go. He picked me up at my hotel and was on time. He took me to some awesome spots that I really enjoyed. It was one of my favourite parts of my trip as I got to see a side of Japan that you don’t see in the major cities. Go had the itinerary all laid out and I never felt rushed exploring the whole day. I went solo with him and his English is excellent.

“Fukuroda falls”
Had a great day with Go-san, he helped us to arrange for the taxis and tea ceremony session with Chanosanto park. Unfortunately, Namase falls was too many steps and challenging, so we did not manage to see. Fukuroda falls was amazing! We ended the tour at an old cafe since the lacquerware shop is closed.
