Authentic Kobe beef cost extraordinary high. I'm not sure inexpensive Kobe beef is really Kobe beef. You should avoid visiting steak restaurants for tourist. You shouldn't be too much particular about " Kobe beef", because similar high quality beef steak are served in restaurants locals know.
In Kobe, Kobe is famous for quality cake pastries in Japan. Kobe's sweets are still waiting to be discovered by international tourists.

A lovely well spoken gentleman with extensive knowledge of Japan.
Thank you for your kind feedback. Your kind words greatly encouraged me to work harder as a better tour guide. I hope I will be able to serve you another opportunity in the future.
We very much enjoyed having Masahito as our tour guide. His itinerary was well prepared and accommodated our every wish. He is well informed of the history and culture of the region. He also went beyond his call of duty by even helping with transporting our luggage from the cruise ship from Kobe to Kansai Airport utilizing trams, ferry, etc. I would highly recommend using Masahito as your tour guide.
Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the tour. I also have enjoyed guiding you and your group so much. Masahito Hatanaka
I feel very lucky to have engaged Masahito. A native of Kobe and a veteran of the city government, he is extraordinarily knowledgeable about the entire Kansai region - its history, geography, and culture - and has a wealth of useful information at his fingertips. This has been my fourth trip to Japan, and I specifically wanted to visit smaller places of interest, off the beaten path. For the Takenata Carpentry Tools Museum, which I requested, one could hardly have had a better guide: Masahito is himself very interested in the history and construction of, for example, the various shrines and temples of Nara, and was able to explain in detail the excellent Takenata collection. At Arima - where we visited the famous hot spring, nearby Toys & Automata Museum, important shrines, several superb,... read more
The words you gave me a deep feeling of honor that deserves more than the service I did. I am also very grateful to you for giving me a wonderful opportunity to guide you in Kobe. I am very happy to hear that you had enjoyed the tour I hope you’ll have a great time during the rest of your vacation time in Japan. Best regards, Masahito Hatanaka
We spent one day with Masahito in Kobe. His communication before our excursion was excellent. We kept changing our itinerary and Masahito went with the flow. He was waiting for us when we got off the ship. His english was very good. We went to the Ropeway, then an authentic Japanese lunch (with slurping) and then to the Disaster Prevention Museum. We picked all of these activities and enjoyed them all. We took public transportation around the city, by our choice. Masahito did exactly what we wanted and we would highly recommend him.
Thank you very much for your kind words. They really mean a lot to me. I believe that you and your wife enjoyed the rest of your tour in Japan. Best wishes, Masahito Hatanaka
