I had the great fortune of spending a day touring with Kei in Kyoto. Kei is an excellent communicator - he responds to messages quickly and led the tour with efficiency and respect. His English is perfect and he is very personable / friendly. A local expert in Japanese culture and language, he will work with you to understand your interests and plan an itinerary that hits it all! Kei met us at our hotel in the Sannocho area and brought us to the Golden Pavilion, the Ryoanji-temple, Ninna-ji temple, Tenryu-ji temple (where we had a phenomenal traditional Buddhist Michelin Bib Gourmand lunch), the bamboo forest and monkey park. We also had time in Kyoto to enjoy the Nishiki market and some sake together! The day we shared with Kei was very peaceful and enjoyable. I appreciated what he shared on Buddhism, mindfulness and life. We had great conversations throughout the day and the care he put towards guiding was really appreciated. Arigato gozaimasu Kei!
Hi Jennifer-san and Cheryl-san, Thank you so much for the good review! I truly enjoyed the tour with your group. As you clarified your request in advance, I was able to make the tour efficient and enjoyable. You have covered 4 out of 17 UNESCO World Heritage sites in one day plus Michelin Bib Gourmand lunch. I hope you enjoyed the tour and gained new insight into Buddhism, mindfulness and life. Thanks! Kei from Kyoto
We were on Business Trip to Tokyo and had 1 day free in our schedule, so we planned to visit Kyoto on Shinkansen Train. As soon we reached the station, Kei was there to receive us on the Platform. He greeted us warmly and took us for a half day city tour of Kyoto wherein we visited Bamboo Forest, Nishiki Market, a couple of significant temples and also had Indian Lunch which was quite good. He has a great knowledge of Kyoto and explained us various things in a very good manner. I would recommend to go for him.
Hi Manav, Thank you for the nice review. I looked forward to the tour as I had been to India twice before and wanted to talk about your country. I hope your father and you enjoyed the tour. Kyoto is a religious city and has many attractions to offer. Please come back to our beautiful city with your family someday. With warm regards, Kei from Kyoto.
Kei is an incredibly knowledgeable and attentive guide. He met us promptly at our hotel and customized the tour precisely to meet our needs. He maximized everything we saw and learned in the short time we had in Kyoto. His warm personality and kind demeanour made it a pleasure spending time with him. I would highly recommend Kei to anyone visiting Japan.
Hello, Lana-san. Thank you so much for the warm review. The itinerary we had on the two days were very efficient and enjoyable. I also found the conversation with your family stimulating and insightful. I hope your family liked our beautiful city and the tour. Thank you again! KEI from KYOTO. P.S. I enjoy being father very much too.
I am so happy that we booked our first full day in Kyoto with KEI. This was a highlight for us. Kyoto has so much to offer. This city is defintly a contrast to Tokyo. Having KEI with us on the first day gave us the confidence to spend our 2nd day exploring the city on our own. He was absolutely the best. I highly recommend hiring KEI. Our time with him was similar to spending the day with a friend. I was traveling with my 15 year old nephew who at times was in that “teenage” zone. However, KEI was so understanding and patient with him. He would engage conversation with him in a fatherly way that was heartfelt and meant so much to me. KEI is also very organized. He met us in our lobby hotel to map out our route for the day. He was very knowledgeable and answered all questions about the sites, people, Kyoto and the Japanese culture. KEI also went out of his way to call various shops that might have anime or Dragon Ball Z merchandise for my nephew. He also helped me look for Japanese art work and a kimono. These efforts were in addition to our walking tour. I will always remember his kindness and willingness to offer his assistance outside of our original tour. Our time with KEI was everything I had hoped for and more. My nephew and I hated to say goodbye to KEI. He is an excellent, professional, and friendly guide who you and your family will enjoy.
Hi Myeshia, Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment. I did enjoy the tour for your group on the day very much. You were an elegant, intellectual and compassionate lady and it was fun to to be with you and your nephew, Kelab. I used to work as a teacher in my 20s so I like to be with teenagers. I understand that you are busy. It is considerate of you to take time and write a kind review. You have enjoyed one of the most beautiful cherry views in Kyoto on the day. As I told you cherry is an annual reminder to the Japanese that time is precious. I hope you enjoyed the visitation to KYOTO. Please say hi to Kelab for me. He is a good boy! KEI from KYOTO.
