I mean personalized, at the title of this tour, as I like to meet and communicate with people of any background and nationality, either solo travellers, couples, families, groups of friends, young, aged, etc. Also to adapt myself to different kinds of motivations and points of view.
With personal I pointed out the way I see this.
I like to feel as the very opposite of a machine of the service sector.
I value empathy and I hope, and usually happens, to end the tour with the feeling of a certain kind of friendship.
-There are itineraries for all the tours but they are flexible in the sense that new places to visit can be added and others removed in accordance to the requests of the travellers-
The rate of the guides might be of 4000¥ per hour up to 6 travellers.
Up to 7 or 8 travellers it will increase up to 2000¥ per hour.
Hi there! I’m Alex Before ending up in Japan, many years back, I had a nomad life across several Asian countries for many years as well. I spent most of that time in India, where among other activities I had my first experiences as a tour guide. There I also met my wife, and when the relationship got more serious we decided to settle down and have a more stable life, we chose Japan where she is from. Since then I had many personal experiences in this country in different fields such as human relations, jobs in different sectors, trips, bizarre situations, etc, experiences that I always like to share, together with some knowledge about aspects of the culture that I studied for years, just for the sake of getting knowledge without thinking that I would do this activity later on. By the way, I appreciate a lot the human factor, and besides having a responsibility I enjoy a lot just meeting and being with new people. In other words; I love this job, I love the culture I show, and I love human communication in itself. Let’s meet and spend time together so I can show you the best of this city, the cultural capital of Japan.

“Exploring the City with Alex Felt Like an Adventure with an Old Friend”
I can’t recommend Alex enough! From the moment our tour started, it felt less like a formal guide experience and more like hanging out with an old friend who just happens to know everything about the city. Alex has an amazing way of blending history, hidden gems, and personal stories that bring each spot to life. The whole experience was fun, relaxed, and engaging—We never once felt rushed or overwhelmed. By the end, we felt like we had truly connected with the place and made a new friend. If you’re looking for a guide who is warm, knowledgeable, and makes you feel instantly at ease, Alex is the one!

“A memorable visit to Nara & Kyoto for first timer Aussies!”
Thanks heaps Alex! We had a great time on our tour with Alex, who took us to visit the impressive areas of Nara and Kyoto. In Nara we visited nibbling Deer, and the beautiful Todai-ji Daibutsuden. After a yummy and filling lunch, we visited Fushimi-Inari and explored the bright pathways and cooled off in the forest. Alex was so patient and friendly with our boys, and taught them the correct ways to interact with the different areas of the temples and shrines, with fun surprises along the way too! We all had a great time learning about the sites visited, and about life in Kyoto, past and present. We highly recommend this tour with Alex, who helped make our first visit to Nara and Kyoto so memorable. Arigatō gozaimasu! The Ewens Family

Thanks very much Tessa!
