“A+ service all around!”
Seigo was a wonderful and caring tour guide for all of our needs. He was able to adjust the schedule and itinerary nimbly to allow for inclement weather and offer up alternative ideas on the spot. He is a beacon of local Japanese knowledge as well. I always appreciate a timely, considerate and respectful local tour guide and Seigo checked all those boxes. Highly recommend!

“A Wonderful Way to Gain a Tokyo Overview”
Yuji is a delight! My college age daughter and I spent our 2nd day in Japan with him where he gave us an overview of Tokyo and many of the major sites. I highly recommend scheduling Yuji for your first or second day in Tokyo. In addition to sightseeing, he explained how to use the train system, how to read the signage on the train monitors, and provided insight on what to expect in Tokyo (and some for Kyoto which was our next stop). It really made the rest of our trip easier! Yuji has a delightful and fun personality. He is a working artist and art instructor as well. He attended college in the U.S., so his English is quite good. We appreciated that he wasn't rigid; when we asked for a change in the itinerary so we could make a shopping run, he weaved it right in. I twisted my knee a tad during our day together, but not bad enough that I wanted to stop the tour. He was mindful of my needs and found a drugstore where I could find some medication, and he looked for moving walkways to help reduce my step count. Thank you Yuji for giving us a great orientation to Tokyo and for your kindness. Arigato!

“Highly Recommended Japanese Guide”
Lisa Watanabe is the best Japanese guide I have ever met--and one on the best guides I have ever encountered anywhere in the world. And I routinely travel with guides all over the world. Lisa has traveled and worked internationally, so she is familiar with many different travelers' cultures and needs. Having been born and university-educated in Japan, Lisa is extraordinarily knowledgeable about all aspects of Japanese history and culture and genuinely enjoys sharing Japan with her clients--as well as seeking to understand her clients' own cultures. Lisa is extraordinarily kind, patient, and flexible and takes pride in fulfilling her clients' special requests. She takes a genuine and sincere interest in her clients' personal experiences and interests, and is a wonderful conversationalist and a very calming presence. If you are looking for that very special Japanese guide who will work with you to create your own personal dream trip in Japan, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Lisa Watanabe. She has certainly arranged and guided my ideal 3-day tour of Kyoto, Japan's beautiful traditional cultural capital.

March to May and September to November are the best times to visit Japan because the weather is warm but not blazing and cool but not freezing.
Of course, March to May is Sakura season, so tourism is high during this time. To escape the crowds, try traveling from December to February. June to August is hot and moist, and May to June is rainy.
