A day trip in Kamakura
Kamakura is an old historic and cultural city where it takes about only one hour train ride from Tokyo. It was the late 12th century when Minamoto Yoritomo founded the Kamakura Shogunate here in 1185 as Japan's first Samurai government. Many shrines and temples were built as the guardian deity of the samurai.
We will visit famous Zen temples such as Engakuji Temple and Kenchoji Temple as well as Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, the open air Great Budda of Kamakura and Hasedera Temple.

“Kamakura Tour”
Kamakura was not Sumita Y.’s usual tour area, but when we booked, he was the only guide available for a Sunday tour. He did a good job and showed a depth of knowledge. He was very pleasant and an interesting person to spend time with.
