This tour fits all, from first timers to repeaters who love local experiences. You can choose what you like from spots listed, or I can pick up for you if you don't have clue. Just let me know your preferences. I can make a good combination of old and modern, major and local. Tokyo has a lot more to experience besides the list. As full day tour, please pick up 3 or 4 spots. Or you can request specific spot not on the list. "Enjoy together with fun learning" is what you can expect with me.

Kon-ni-chi-wa. Hello! I'm Kaori, having lived in Tokyo for more than 20 years since I got married to a photographer who lives here. Originally from Shizuoka prefecture which has Mt.Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan. I took 2 working-holiday-visa stays in my younger days. One is in Toronto, Canada, and another is Australia touring by motorcycle. One year respectively.
I love travel both international and domestic. That's why I love helping individual travelers rather than group tours, because I myself love travel freely. Love nature, gardens, trekking, greenery, also anime. My favorite is taking you to the off-the-beaten tracks where I love.
As a national government licensed guide, I've got deep knowledge of Japanese culture and history. I really enjoy talking about the way of life with people from different cultures. We see what you like and talk what you are interested in. That's my style. If you don't know what to want, I can help you with that.
I'm happy to make tailor-made tours only for you (up to 4 people) upon your request.
・Half Day as you like (up to 4 hours) : 40,000 JPY
・Full Day as you like (up to 8 hours) : 64,000 JPY
・Extra hour over 8hours : 6,000 JPY/hour
I'm quite an outgoing person, ( but organized well! ), easy to get along with anybody, including small kids to teenagers. Can't wait to see you soon!

“Private Kamakura – One day trip from Tokyo with Kaori”
We had a wonderful one-day trip with Kaori from Tokyo to Kamakura, and we highly recommend her as a guide. She is already responsive before you even arrive in Japan and has great tips, e.g. she is flexible in adapting the trip and even Provided us a guide recommendation for Kanazawa. She then picks you up at the hotel and is super organized, e.g. we had to travel with public transportation, and she had IC cards for my wife and myself, which makes the travel much easier with no ticketing queues. During the visits she provides you lot of information about the history, the country, and the habits, which was really amazing. She is also fully flexible to change the program during the trip if requested by her clients. And finally she brings you safely and on-time back to the hotel. Therefore we fully enjoyed the trip with her and would / will book her again if we again visit Japan in the future.

Thank you very much for giving me a superb feedback and recommendation, Ulrike-san. I'm so honored as a guide. It was a really lovely relaxing day with charming flowers in full bloom everywhere. Could not be grateful enough Mt.Fuji (my friend!) appeared from Enoshima island finally at the last of your trip in Japan! Thank you again for choosing me as your guide and giving me the opportunity to appreciate the seasonal beauty of Kamakura together with you. Can't wait to see you again on next trip!! Big hugs, Kaori

“Unique Tokyo”
Kaori, helped me create a 2 day tailor-made unique itinerary. Her professionalism and research prior to my arriving in Tokyo was exceptional. Included in my notes were two special requests. One was a tea ceremony and the other a visit to a Ukiyoe workshop. Both experiences were incredibly memorable. Kaori is super friendly and fun and I will cherish my visit to Tokyo.
Kaori S.
Thank you so much for the warmest review, Cheryl-san. I’m so delighted that I was with you on your memorable trip in your life. Your story touched my heart. Tea ceremony and Ukiyoe workshop with you are valuable memory I would never forget. Being a tour guide is such a joyful opportunity for me to get personal touch with person like you. Thank you again for choosing me as your guide. Big hugs, Kaori
