Old Temple & Last Shogun's Tomb
Here, we'll explore historical temple from the Edo period, Yanaka Kannon Temple and its distinctive Tsuiji walls which are a traditional form of earthen wall. We'll begin by visiting the Yanaka Cemetery, where we will see the grave of Tokugawa Yoshinobu, the last shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate. Next, we'll walk along the narrow alley known as Hebi-michi, or "Snake Path," named for its winding curves. This narrow alley, which connects Yanaka and Nezu, offers a delightful walking experience. As you stroll through the old downtown atmosphere, you can feel the essence of local life. You'll encounter stylish shops worth exploring along the way. The warm, relaxed atmosphere flows through this area. If you're getting tired of the typical tourist spots, it might be time to venture into these narrow alleys. Nezu Shrine
Explore the Historic Nezu Shrine
Nezu Shrine dates back over 1,900 years. Stroll through the thousand vermilion torii gates leading to Otome Inari Shrine within the grounds.
In spring, approximately 3,000 azalea bushes bloom beautifully within the shrine grounds.
