“Great Tour of Nara from Kyoto!”
We had a wonderful day with Mike on his Exploring Nara tour! He met us bright and early at our hotel and took us straight to Nara, where we learned so much about the area’s history and landmarks. His friendly personality and extensive knowledge made the day really special, and he took a lot of great photos that we’ll enjoy for years to come. He packs in a lot, so be ready for an active day with plenty of walking and public transport. The detailed information he shared before and after the tour was incredibly helpful and will come in handy for our next visit to Japan. Highly recommend Mike if you’re looking for a top-notch guide in the Kyoto area!
“Wonderful Tour of Kyoto!”
We had a great experience with Yoshie on his Kyoto Golden Route tour! From start to finish, his knowledge, enthusiasm, and friendly personality made the day unforgettable. I only wish we had more time to spend with him—one day wasn’t enough! It was such a pleasure to learn about many of Kyoto’s famous places and he even took photos for us that we’ll enjoy for years to come. He packs in a lot, so be ready for an active day with plenty of walking and public transport. And don’t miss the chance to visit his friend’s izakaya—it’s the perfect way to end the day. We’ve been recommending Yoshie to everyone we know who’s planning a trip to Japan. If you’re visiting Kyoto, don’t miss the chance to explore it with such a knowledgeable and kind guide. He is truly the best!
“Friendly Guide, but the Tour Could Be More In-Depth”
We recently toured Tokyo with Noriko and found her to be a kind and helpful guide. While there were some positive moments, the overall experience could have been more engaging. The itinerary included stops at the Imperial Palace, Edo-Tokyo Museum, and Asakusa. We chose to skip the Edo-Tokyo Museum since it would require a half-day to properly explore, and we felt it wouldn’t be the best use of time with a guide. At the Imperial Palace, we only viewed the exterior, with limited explanation or interaction, which left us wishing for more depth and context. On the plus side, one of us wasn’t feeling well during the tour, and Noriko went out of her way to help us find a pharmacy for medicine, which we greatly appreciated. Afterward, she took us to a fantastic lunch spot that lifted our spirits and made for a pleasant conclusion to the day. Noriko’s English was conversational but not always clear, which occasionally made it challenging to follow her explanations. Despite this, her kindness and willingness to assist stood out. With more detailed storytelling and deeper engagement at each stop, we believe her tours could be even more enjoyable for future clients.
