Why not go for drinking with me?!

Golden Gai is the biggest bar-hopping area in Japan. There are about 300 bars in the area. However, it is often hard for beginners to tell which one to enter.

No worries! As a local bar hopping master, I will take you to the best shops.

Moreover, I can talk to you like your old friend. Let's have a great chat and make the night unforgettable!

I studied abroad in the United States and the United Kingdom, where I met wonderful people from all over the world and developed a truly global mindset.

Before becoming a full-time guide, I worked as an IT engineer, hotel receptionist, and manager of a maid cafe—experiences that help me connect naturally with travelers from many different backgrounds.

Akihabara Intro to Manga, Aname and Maid Cafes

Lovely to spend time with a local of the area - who also has an interest in art - to develop some appreciation for the sub-culture of the area. Melody also introduced us to interesting food - with great tips for more dishes to try on our trip.

Great visit in Tokyo with Melody

We spent a couple of days in Tokyo with Melody and overall it was great. First day we exaggerated a little bit with the schedule seeing and visiting more sights than initially planned. Melody was very accommodating adjusting the schedule. He also helped us get the JR pass for the rest of the time in Japan. He found a great restaurant for my wife’s FODMAP food sensitivity, tasting 100% buckwheat soba noodles. He was professional, kind and funny. He made our first stay in Japan a truly pleasant experience. He even advised us on a couple of options for visiting Hakone and Yokohama. Overall one of the best guides we had in recent years. Bobo

Borut, thank you so much for your kind and detailed review. I’m really happy to hear that you enjoyed your time in Tokyo with me. I’m glad we were able to adjust it smoothly and make the most of your time. It was my pleasure to help with the JR Pass and to find a restaurant that worked well for your wife’s FODMAP needs. I'm especially glad you could enjoy the 100% buckwheat soba together. The walnut dipping sauce was really delicious! I also enjoyed sharing ideas for Hakone and Yokohama—my national guide license and experience allow me to cover destinations all across Japan—and I hope those parts of your trip turned out just as memorable. It was a pleasure meeting you all, and I hope we’ll have the chance to explore more of Japan together in the future!

The best tour guide in Japan!!!

My friend Melody is the absolute best tour guide you can possibly have in Japan hands down! We had an unforgettable day in Japan starting off with a walk through a beautiful garden and looking at the cherry blossoms. After we stopped by at a local sushi shop for some of the best sushi you can eat for a very fair price (locals know best). After we stopped at 2 maid cafes and had some very good drinks followed by going to some anime stores, video game stores, and went window shopping down some of japans most famous streets. We also visited an ancient Buddhist temple and other beautiful shrines throughout Asakusa with Melody telling me about the history and culture throughout our time there. We ended up stopping in Shinjuku golden gai and drinking at a couple bars and had some amazing conversations with the locals. Melody did an amazing job throughout the tour adjusting and tailoring what I wanted to see and making sure we had enough time for everything on the agenda. Whatever your interests are, I have no doubt that Melody will be able to tailor a tour exactly how you’d want it while keeping it very interesting and exciting. It is hard to find such a knowledgeable and easy to talk to person in Japan that makes a tour feel like you are hanging out with a friend who you’ve known for years. If I could give Melody a higher rating I would, but unfortunately I can only give him 5/5 stars. Until next time!

Ryan, what a wonderful day it has been, meeting such a kind and promising young man like you. I still can’t believe that just a few days ago you decided to come to Japan, chose me, and that we only met for the first time this morning. Within just 10 minutes, we instantly clicked, and after that, it felt like we had been close friends for years. In a single day, we visited a Japanese garden, a market, a Buddhist temple, an anime district (including two maid cafes!), fashion areas, a Shinto shrine, and even a nightlife district. We talked nonstop about everything — work, relationships, hobbies, history, and the cultures of both your country and Japan — while taking countless photos and videos along the way. Also, I still can’t believe you learned 20 Japanese phrases and were able to have simple conversations in just one day. I can’t thank fate enough for the miracle of meeting you today. Hontoni Arigato Gozaimashita. Matane!
