On this tour, I’ll guide you through two of my favorite gardens. The first is Koishikawa Korakuen Garden, where a stroll around the central pond reveals four beautiul landscapes: a river, a mountain, countryside, and the ocean. The second is Rikugien Garden, renowned as the 'Garden of Japanese Classic Poems' . Both gardens, created by influential feudal lords of the Edo Period (1603-1868). Those gardens provide a serene experience while offering a glimpse into Japanese history and culture.

The Garden, recognized as the Special Place of Scenic Beauty and Special Historic Site, showcases diverse sceneries around its central pond such as river, mountain, countryside, and ocean.
Rikugien Garden
The garden famed as the "Garden of Waka" (a classic Japanese poem), reflects picturesque scenes from Waka.
Ending Point
12:30 pm Closing of the tour at the nearest train/subway station or your hotel.

Hi, I am Hiromi, a National licensed guide in English. I studied in England and U.S. during my 20s and 30s. I graduated college in NY. While I lived in overseas and experiencing different culture, I had chances to look at Japanese culture from the outside. And I realized its richness and uniqueness. Experiencing different culture was like discovering my own culture.
I live west part of Tokyo with my husband. Whenever we have time we like traveling. Also I have been practicing tea gathering (tea ceremony) about 10 years.
In Tokyo, there exist traditional culture as well as pop culture. There are so many places I would like to show you.

Hiromi was very informative at teaching me the history of the tea ceremony and how you make it and also showing me around the park. What i liked best was how she was able tell me all the history of the ceremony and the ceremony its self was very relaxing

“Best Tokyo tour ever!”
Hiromi Y, was our guide for a full day around Tokyo. She customised the tour to fit my 11year old daughter and keep her engaged through each new experience. “Terrific tour of Tokyo ”

Mt. Takao: temples, monkeys & waterfall
Get the Tengu's protection with an easy forest trail just 1h from Tokyo! The temple devoted to those deities, is surrounded by centuries-old trees, home of flying squirrels and monkeys. With along the way waterfalls still in use by monks for meditation. Mt. Takao hiking is relatively easy and only requires comfortable shoes, and if the weather is favorable, Mt. Fuji can be seen at the submit! And in the old town, restaurants and snacks offer a different taste than the capital.
