The Tokyo National Museum in the Ueno park is the most famous museum in Japan. The main building exhibits various kinds of Japanese arts from thousands BC to the early 20th century. In this tour, I will mainly show you the second floor of the main building and explain the characteristics and historical background of Japanese art using illustrations I made.

Hello, nice to meet you. I'm Noriko.
I am a national licensed guide and had been working for the biggest travel company in Japan for 13 years. I worked more than 20 kinds of tours such as Kamakura, Kawagoe, and major towns in Tokyo. But while staying at home due to the COVID-19, I wanted to improve my specialism and started studying Japanese art in order to guide the Tokyo National Museum in the Ueno park.
I was born, grew up, in Tokyo where I live with my husband, son and a dog. Our family love traveling and enjoy skiing. I love history very much and drawing illustrations. So, I can explain the characteristics and background of Japanese art using illustrations I made.
I'm sure I can help you learn and understand the basics of Japanese art. Please contact me. I'm looking forward to seeing you.
“our tour was short but truly memorable”
We had a wonderful time going around with Noriko. She was patient and helped us make a tour suited for the family. We went around Tsukiji Market and was able to eat some really good fresh seafood. My little girl was able to wear a Kimono around Asakusa and spend the day like a cute little Japanese Girl. We wish we had more hours and days to go around with her. I think going around other parts of Tokyo with Noriko would be fun! Until the next trip to Tokyo!!

Thank you so much for your great review, Michelle. I was very happy to spent time with you, especially with your cute kids. Your girl was fascinated by the people around her in Asakusa. I hope you will come to Japan again and if you'd like, let me introduce you other interesting spots. Japan is full of attractive things and places. I'm looking forward to seeing you again.
