The Kamakura Daibutsu , the Great Buddha of Kamakura, is a National Treasure. It is said that casting began in bronze around 1252. I especially recommend the guests (who had already visited Tokyo), to visit this Kamakura city where keeps the atmosphere of traditional Japan in 12th century. When you visit there, I'll try my best to show you the typical Japanese way of thinking in our daily life, like a peaceful mind, the meaning of monthly various kind of Japan indigenous events, etc. If you want to make trip shorter like 6 or 7 hours instead of 8 hours, please let me know it for my re-arrangement. If you are interested in ZEN Meditation, I can recommend you participate it from 14:30~16:00 of every Saturday and the 1st/3rd of Sunday (JY1,000 per person, first come first served) with some adjustment of our itinerary.

“The one and only guide in Tokyo Munetaka H.”
We hired Munetaka as our guide for three consecutive days. The Tokyo excursion was first on the agenda. He was early, organized and eager to start the trip. Munetaka was knowledgeable about Japan history, culture and food. He also put in much effort to secure three tickets to travel to Mt. Fuji at last minute when everything was sold out five weeks ago. Kudo to him and his continued hard work.

“A very good day in Yokohama ”
With eight hours before our flight from Japan, we thought it would be a good idea to hire a local guide to spend the day. So we connected with a guide and hired Munetaka. His guidelines were simple - stay in the Yokohama region, no shopping, no water trips, and we wished to see things that were “not touristy”, and of course get us back to the airport in time for our flight. Munetaka did very well indeed. The model railroad museum was terrific, (could have spent hours there), the ceramic museum- beautiful, the beautiful Sankeien garden where we had a very tasty bowl of ramen, and finally China town. A great afternoon. Best of all was Munetaka’s enthusiasm in everything, his knowledge, and most importantly, the research he had done to arrange all the travel and the times to fit in with us. Thank you Munetaka, we appreciate and recommend you to others.
