Welcome to local food tour in Jujo Higashi Shotengai (shopping (foods) arcade). I'm also going to take you to a local restaurant that ran by a local old couple. If you want to go on day tour, I can also take you to a very chill Japanese park called Asukayama Park.
This itinerary can be customized to meet your needs and preferences. Send me a message with your requests!
Meeting Point
Higashi Jujo station (Keihin Tohoku line or Saikyo line)
- Meet me at the Higashi Jujo station (JR Keihin Tohoku line or Saikyo line) . Optionally I can pick up from your hotel if you wish. Let me know so I can arrange the meeting time and price.
Lunch at my favorite local restaurant
(Note : Availability depends on restaurant's operation hour/day. I can suggest different options if you wish.)
Walking 10 min from Higashi Jujo station. Walking through local Japanese street we're going to stop at my favorite local restaurant which ran by a old Japanese couple. There you can have Japanese teishoku style lunch (main meal and miso soup) . My favorite is Tonkastu Tamagotoji Don :) Please let me know if you have any allergy or food restriction.
Exploring at Jujo Ginza Shotengai (shopping (foods) arcade)
Let's explore Jujo Ginza Shotengai which has over 100 years history. We can grab handmade fresh local snacks such as big Katsu (Japanese style schnitzel), Karaage-chicken, dumpling, croquette etc...
Also, there are fresh fruits shops, fish shops and clothing shop. All shops are very reasonable and fantastic quality!
Move to Oji station
Catch a train and move to Oji station. It's only 3 min by train. If you want to walk, it takes only 25 min.
Asukayama Park
This is a very chill park where you can do a few things to do. There is Eiichi Shibusawa Museum ( Eiichi Shibusawa is printed on 10000 yen note.)
There is also a cable car (free of charge!), and several nice photo spots for train lovers. There is also a pretty Castel slider which appears in a Japanese famous artist Aimyon's MV ("Lucky color"). Of course, you can enjoy a chill walk in the park.

Hi there! My name is Haruka. I just back from a big journey in Sydney, Australia! I love to travel and try new experiences. I visited Hawaii, Bali, Bangkok, Taiwan, and all around Australia! Also, some parts of Japan.
However, I was born, and raised around Tokyo(I moved different area when I was young). I love animals, beaches, snorkels, free diving, nature, coffee, yummy foods, and sharing different cultures!
Before I moved to Australia I worked as a Paediatric Dental Hygienist then moved to Australia I did a few different jobs such as Au pair, waitress, dental assistant/receptionist etc... Once I got back to Tokyo, I was thinking so much that what I want to do and what I’m good at. I like to show and explain to people and I also realised how amazing Japanese culture is when I see it from outside of Japan. So, that’s the reason why I started this guide job!
As I mentioned I did work as a kid's dental hygienist and babysitting job so, I’m very keen to take your family on my tour (of course I’m happy to take any kind of group though). My tour style is very open so if you can’t find exactly what you want to do or something you don’t want to do which includes the plan I’m more than happy to make a special plan for you just shoot me a message!
I’m looking forward to showing you around my favourite area of Tokyo!
