About Tour Guide Ken T.

Certified Domestic Tour Conductor — ensuring safe, smooth, and memorable travel in Japan.

Hello! My name is Ken (Kenichi), and I’m a professional tour guide specializing in private car tours throughout Tokyo and nearby regions. As of Dec 2025, I’ve guided over 1,700 foreign travelers (370+ tours), offering comfortable, customized experiences by car.

In addition to my experience, I am officially certified as a Licensed Domestic Tour Conductor (Itinerary Control Manager) under Japan’s Travel Agency Law. This nationally recognized qualification ensures that I can professionally manage itineraries, prioritize safety, and provide worry-free travel experiences — the same standards required for group tours operated by major Japanese travel companies.

With over 30 years of work experience in both Japanese and international companies in Tokyo, I’ve gained deep insights into the city and its hidden gems. I’m also an avid traveler, having visited famous destinations across Japan and more than 40 countries worldwide.

I understand the challenges many first-time visitors face in Japan, especially when navigating the busy and complex city of Tokyo. That’s why I focus on private car tours, which allow you to explore more places in less time, all in comfort and without the stress of public transportation. My tours are fully customized to your needs and include a dedicated driver — my wife — who remains on standby nearby, allowing us to move smoothly and efficiently without relying on taxis or trains.

Whether you’re looking for iconic landmarks, quiet gardens, or local culture, I’ll create an efficient and enjoyable itinerary just for you.

I look forward to making your visit to Japan safe, smooth, and deeply rewarding.

Reviews

A Day in Tokyo with Ken and Satchi

It was a wonderful day. With Ken acting as guide and Satchi driving, the day set up perfectly. We arrived at each location easily and were picked up when we were picked up when we were ready to move on. There were no delays lookinng for parking. Ken was very informative about each location and its history. We were able customize an itinerary prior to the day. They met us at the cruise terminal with a car that easily held our luggage. After a five hour tour, they dropped us at the airport. Ken took photos along the way and emailed them to us as a momento. It was the perfect way to use the time between the ship's arrival and our evening departure for Tokyo. I highly recomend Ken and Satchi.

Dear Gerard & Barbara, Thank you very much for your wonderful review. Although it was a relatively short tour, we truly enjoyed spending time with you. As we are around the same generation, we felt very comfortable talking with you, and it was a very enjoyable and memorable time for us as well. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed the efficient style of our tour with Sachi driving and myself guiding. Thank you also for your kindness and flexibility throughout the day. We sincerely hope you had a pleasant flight home and that you will have another opportunity to visit Japan in the future. Warm regards, Ken & Sachi

Ken Amazing Tour guide

Our experience in Japan was without doubt enhanced so much by Ken and all his help, kindness and guidance that made the very best of our time with him and his lovely wife (Satchi). What a wonderful ambassador he is for his country and his knowledge of his country and its history is amazing. He is super professional as well as funny and being around him and his wife was just a joy for us. He picked us up direct from cruise port terminal and helped us with our luggage and then dropped us off at our hotel. All with a friendly smile. Please do reach out to Ken if you are touring Japan he surpassed all our expectations.

Dear Marie, Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and thoughtful review. It was truly our great pleasure to spend the day with you, Lynda, George and Steven. We are so happy to hear that your experience in Japan was enhanced by the time we shared together. Your warm words about our hospitality, guiding, and knowledge mean a great deal to both Sachi and me. We especially appreciate your kindness in mentioning the cruise port pick-up and luggage arrangements, as we always try our best to make the day comfortable and stress-free for our guests. We also genuinely enjoyed spending time with all of you — your warmth, humor, and positive spirit made the day very special for us as well. Thank you again for choosing us during your visit to Japan. We truly hope our paths may cross again someday, whether in Japan or perhaps even in beautiful Scotland. Warmest regards, Ken & Sachi

Yokohama Tour & Ride to Haneda

Ken and his wife were very friendly and accommodating. He met us on time at the port, and having his wife do the driving in a spacious van made the tour very efficient and relaxing, knowing our luggage would always be with someone. The 3-hr tour went by fast. We did the gondola ride, walked through the park, visited China Town, and visited a specialty shop for that final gift we needed for our daughter. Ken was knowledgeable and shared with us stories and Japanese history. I would highly recommend him. My only regret was that we didn't schedule it for longer.

Cameron K.

Dear Cameron, Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We truly appreciate your kind words. It was our great pleasure to spend time with you and your family, and we are very glad to hear that you enjoyed the tour. I’m also happy that the arrangement with the driver made your experience comfortable and efficient. I’m especially pleased that we were able to find the perfect Japanese kitchen knife for your daughter — I hope she will enjoy using it for many years to come. Yes, time always seems to pass quickly on a 3-hour tour, and I would have loved to show you even more. Hopefully, we will have another opportunity to spend a longer time together in the future. Thank you again for choosing us, and we wish you all the very best. Warm regards, Ken & Sachi
