Hi! I’m a government licensed tour guide with profound knowledge of Japanese culture, history, and geography. I was born in a suburb and grew up in Tokyo. I studied abroad in the US and UK, and met great people from all over the world. I was an IT engineer, hotel receptionist, and manager of a maid cafe in Akihabara.
Although I know many spots in Tokyo, Akihabara, the very special Otaku mecca, is my home. I lived in Akihabara nearly 10 years to become a genuine Otaku!

“Akihabara Geek town and dreamin Maidcafe”
Another amazing time with our knowledgeable and professional guide Melody. Like the previous tour we learnt so much more about culture, history and habits. Our whole Tokyo experience was made so much more in depth thanks to the gentle and fun guideance. We are already planning to return next year and will plan more discoveries with Melody. Thank you so much for your kindness and sharing of your vast knowledge. Domo Arigatogozaimasu

Thank you for the great comment again, Carina! Yes, I’m sure you enjoyed the different atmospheres of "Kawaii" in Harajuku and "Moe" in Akihabara. Wow, it’s great to hear you are already thinking of a next trip to Japan. Can’t wait to see you again! Domo Arigatogozaimasu!

Manish san, Thank you for your heartfelt review. It was the greatest honor to join you. Yes, shopping areas such as Ginza are one of Tokyo’s greatest attractions! Hope I can help you again! Arigato Gozaimasu.

“Best Experience with Guide Melody”
Arriving in Tokyo can be daunting no matter how much you try to prepare. We feel it was absolutely amazing to get a head start on our Tokyo experience with professional guide Melody S. He is super attentive, empathetic, enthusiastic, friendly and easy going as well as highly knowledgeable in all aspects of Japanese culture and able to converse in depth on any topic. Prior to our arrival in Japan we communicated and expressed our interests and having a teenager along, special interests there too. Melody put together a fun day, carefully noting our interests, and we experienced things we had no idea existed. The tour was reasonably priced and worth every penny! We covered parts of the Harajuku area. Today we did TeamPlanet Tokyo on our own. We have another appointment with Melody for another part of town tomorrow. Can’t wait!

Thank you for joining my tour, Carina! Since you had shared your interests prior, the tour got well organized. Still, traveling is always with lots of unexpected events, especially funny puricura (photo sticker) part ;) Let’s make Day2 great too!
