I'll show you an attractive sake brewery in Tokyo, "Toshima-Shuzo," located in Higashimurayama, the western part of Tokyo. This place is also well-famous as the setting of "My Neighbour Totoro," by Hayao Miyazaki. You would find the different attraction of Tokyo.

You can take about 1-hour sake brewery tour, and tasting. " Toshima-Shuzo" is one of the oldest sake breweries in Japan. It would also be a good opportunity to be informed of Japanese culture. If interested in the local, you can enjoy local specialty, "musashino-udon." In addition, I'll show you around the hill of "Totoro" . " My Neighbor Totoro" is said to be set in the hill, called Hachikoku-Ryokuchi, near "Toshima-Shuzo." In every June, about 100,000 irises are beautifully in full bloom. There are also some historical shrines and temples, including the national treasure of the wooden structure, "Jizo-do," at Shoufukuji (temple). Shall we enjoy the Japanese sake culture?

19-year-old and under are NOT allowed ￥500-tasting. Reservation of the brewery tour is depended on the sake brewing schedule of Toshima-Shuzo. It takes about 40 minutes by express train from Seibu Shinjuku station to Higashimurayama station (¥340/@). From Higashimurayama station, taxi would be recommendable to go to Toshima-Shuzo . It usually takes around ￥730 /@car.
