At first, I will take you to Asakusa and Senso-Ji Temple, which is a very popular shopping area for foreign tourists. Then we will take the Sumida river cruising to enjoy the view of Tokyo from different angles. It will take 35 minuets to arrive Hamarikyu Garden where Tokugawa Shoguns enjoyed duck hunting. We walk along Hamarikyu Garden for 30 min.

10:30-11:30 Asakusa and Senso-Ji Temple
Asakusa including Senso-ji Temple: It is a very popular area for shopping such as the Nakamise street where you can find Japanese souvenirs with reasonable price. It has been developed with Senso-ji Temple which was established in the 7th century and has been very popular among common people to get rid of their sickness by the mercy of the statue of Kannon (Goddess of mercy), hidden in the cabinet.

11:40-12:15 Sumida river cruise
Sumida river cruise; The cruise boat goes through many bridges and you can sit on comfortable seats to see the unique view of Tokyo. (Ticket: 1180 JPY per adult, 470 JPY per child under 13)
12:20-13:20 Hamarikyu Garden
Hamarikyu Garden: This used to be owned by the Tokugawa Shoguns in the Edo Period. They enjoyed duck hunting by using trained falcons. There are large ponds filled with salt water from Tokyo Bay. There is a three hundred years old pine tree with so many branches spread all over.

I was born and grew up in Yokohama. I used to work in Tokyo for more than 20 years. I became the National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter in English in 2013. At first, I had attended a volunteer group which provided a tour of the Imperial Palace East Gardens until 2015. I guided more than fifty times in the garden as a volunteer and studied about Japanese history and culture. Based on this experience, I became a tour guide of this online site in 2015.
Since then, I have guided more than 500 tours in Tokyo as well as Yokohama, Kamakura, Hakone, Kyoto, Nikko, etc., while improving my tours. My tours are very flexible and I always do my best to customize them according to the interests of my guests. I studied about the places and will provide you knowledge to appreciate them deeper than just visiting there by yourself or a member of big group tours. “Kyoto trip with Yuki.”
We had a wonderful experience with our guide Yuki. We had covered numerous shrines and temples of Kyoto. Walked along Gyon St, visited geishas quarters, exploring some hidden, locally known spots to eat. It is a long day, but absolutely worth it.

Dear Eugene, Thank you for your review. We visited Fushimi Shrine, Sanjusangen-do Temple, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and walked to Gion. Kiyomizu-dera was very busy with tourists. I have another route to enjoy quiet, authentic Kyoto as well, please try it on your next visit. Please give my best regards to your son.

“Like Touring with a Dear Friend: A Delightful Day in Kamakura”
We had the absolute best day exploring Kamakura with our wonderful guide, Yuki! From the moment we met, he was completely punctual and took care of every single travel detail, making the entire trip totally seamless and stress-free. He arranged Green Car train seats for us, which made for an exceptionally comfortable and pleasant ride out of the city. Once in Kamakura, he easily navigated the local buses and trolley-routes and connections we never would have figured out on our own. He selected a fantastic local lunch spot and helped us order delicious, traditional Japanese dishes. Throughout the day, he answered all of our questions, sharing rich histories and teaching us the meaningful rituals at each temple we visited.
