Despite the short duration, this was hands down one of my most memorable trips. I have dreamt of visiting Japan for so long that the sheer anticipation was a bit intimating. There was a slight fear it would not live up to my expectations. Well, it far exceeded what I expected and craved for! From the Meiji Shrine to the culinary delights of the Shimokitazawa neighborhood, Taro did an amazing job squeezing in so many interesting, inspiring, and super tasty moments. He patiently endured my annoying questions (all 1000 of them :-)) giving not only his perspective, but also sharing the general and widely acceptable view of things. He was punctual, extremely polite and flexible, modifying and adapting the events and the visits according to our extremely time-constrained circumstances, our ever-changing whims (as well as shopping needs), and our unending culinary curiosity. The bottom line is, Taro was a delight, and he will definitely be my guide of choice next time I am in Tokyo. And believe me, I am definitely coming back for at least two weeks of a more in-depth exploration of his fascinating homeland. I have already told anyone who is willing to listen how great he was and am highly recommending him to all my friends and acquaintances who are planning a trip to Japan/Tokyo. Arigato Gozaimasu, my dear Taro!
Thank you so much for your fantastic review. I've never had such an excellent evaluation in my entire life. I also have to express how much I appreciate you. Throughout this tour, I was always learning a lot of things from you. You are very knowledgeable and always choose authentic things. Conversing with you about our culture and diverse topics made me realize how wonderful our heritage is and provided me with another perspective on things. It was such an honor to work for you as your tour guide. Thank you so much Looking forward to seeing you again.

I booked a food and culture tour with Taro in my recent first trip to Japan. Taro was great, his English excellent and he made every effort to make sure I was seeing and doing the things that interested me. He took me on local trains to two different locations in Tokyo to experience authentic Japanese food in restaurants I would never have known of and cultural points of interest which on my own I would never had experienced. He also assisted in getting my JR rail pass and booking my train tickets to Osaka. He also explained the train system which I had been having a bit of concern about navigating. His assistance with this was great and put my mind at rest for the rest of my holiday. I would highly recommend Taro as a local guide to anyone visiting Tokyo.
Thank you so much for having me as your tour guide. And I'm glad to be a part of your first trip to Japan. It was a truly meaningful and valuable experience for me to talk to you. Hope to see you again soon. Best Regards, TARO
