Asakusa: Senso-ji Temple
Our first stop is Senso-ji, the largest Buddhist temple in Tokyo. I will tell you about its history and legends.
You will also learn how to purify yourself before entering, pray, and draw an Omikuji (fortune).
Imperial Palace
Next, we will visit the Imperial Palace's outer garden. We will walk along the moat and the outer walls, reaching the iconic Nijubashi Bridge.
I will share the history of Edo Castle and the Imperial Palace with you.
Meiji-jingu Shrine
We will then head to Meiji-jingu Shrine, located in a peaceful forest in the heart of Tokyo.
The spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife rest here. You will learn the traditional ways to wash your hands at the Temizuya, say a Shinto prayer, and make a wish on an Ema tablet.
We will also draw an Omikuji for meditation.
Takeshita Street
Next, we visit Takeshita Street, the birthplace of Japan’s trendy youth culture. Here you can find colorful fashion, street food like cotton candy and potato spirals, and enjoy bubble tea or pet animals. It’s also a great place for fun gachapon games.
Shibuya
We continue to Shibuya, Tokyo's largest entertainment and shopping district. You’ll experience the world-famous Shibuya Scramble, the busiest pedestrian crossing.
I will share the heartwarming story of Hachi, the loyal dog, and take you to a viewpoint where you can photograph the famous crossing.
Shibuya Station
The tour concludes at Shibuya Station. I will explain how to return to your hotel on your own
