Guiding Fee
Transportation Fare (You and the Guide: SHINKANSEN 28940 Yen per person, Kyoto (bus/train/taxi fare)), Lunch, Dinner, Admission Fee of the temples, etc.
Nozomi Shinkansen is preferable which leaves every ten minutes and faster.
PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU BOOK THIS TOUR.
NO ARASHIYAMA BAMBOO FOREST with this tour.
Kyoto was the capital for 1100 years or so. There are so much to see so it would be better to spend a few days there, but if your days here are limited, this tour is for you.
(It is possible for me to see you off at your hotel in Kyoto but please cover my return trip, too.)
The Shinkansen, Bullet train, fare (round trip) is 28740 yen. Please cover my transportation fare too.
To cover the most during the limited time, it would be idealistic to use taxis to save time. If there are more than 3 people in your group, let's use two taxis between the spots.
Minor change or skipping some spots are possible but ADDING EXTRA SPOTS might be DIFFICULT because of the limited time.
We will start early but might be in rush hours in the morning.
Not on Dec. 28-Jan. 4 because it would be hard to get seats on Shinkansen and temples and shrines will be overcrowded.
Hi, I'm Yoko, a National License Tour Guide&International Kikisake-shi.
I speak with an American accent, 'cause I lived in Seattle, Washington for six years in my childhood(3-9 years old). My tours might be better with people who LOVE TO WALK, have STAMINA and keen to learn about the culture.
Now I live within a walking distance from Ueno Park, Tokyo, so I see a lot of International tourists walking around in my neighborhood every day.
(PLEASE CHECK EACH TOUR. The expenses are spelled out, too.)
"Tokyo is larger than we thought and the transportations are so complicated," Swedish guys told me. I'm here to help you. I know well about Tokyo, Yokohama, Yamanashi etc. and I travel most of the parts of Japan.
I would appreciate if you could see more sightseeing spots with me as your guide and enjoy your stay.
I love to answer your questions, even though I became nearly breathless when I was with American guests, a family of three, curiously asking me questions after questions:-)
I appreciated their interest in Japan very much.
I also go mountain trekking for nearly thirty years. I've been to the summit of Mt. Fuji and Mt. Kitadake three times. Talking about Mt. Takao, maybe more than fifty times.
I hope we can enjoy the beautiful view together.
I'm looking forward to seeing you soon and having a good time together.
Hope to hearing from you soon.

“Excellent tour of Tokyo ”
We had an amazing day with Yoko! We booked the Up To You Tour of Tokyo. In just 8 hours, Yoko managed to show us so much—temples and shrines, the beautiful Chidorigofuchi Moat, the energy of Shibuya, and the charm of Asakusa. She was knowledgeable, organized, and incredibly kind. Not only was she our guide, but also very informative about Japan history in general. She took us to this amazing fish place for lunch. Yoko took so much stress out of our travel and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. It felt like she was our friend the whole time and not a person that is just guiding us. Thank you so much, Yoko. Come visit us in beautiful Kyrgyzstan.Highly recommended!

Oh, thank you so much for your wonderful review, Thomas san. I was so moved by it that I was almost going to cry. I was lucky to spend the day with you and your beautiful intelligent wife. It might be my first time to talk about the Fukushima disaster and about the episode of Iodine tablets supplied there. I appreciated that you liked that genuine Japanese lunch with fish and added kelp options. I had a great time with both of you. Please enjoy Osaka and Kyoto. I will be waiting for you to come again to Tokyo with your kids some day soon. Please tell Nurida san that it was really meeting her too. Thank you again for the powerful wonderful day!!

“Your guide Yoko is the worst guide I have ever experienced ”
This is my second day with her as my guide because even though we had problems with each other yesterday, she apologised and promised to do better today. Well, she yelled at me again. While we were in the train, she pointed out while wearing a mask that the younger kids who were formally dressed in suits and were with their parents are attending a special celebration, of being accepted to university. An hour later when I saw some of them looking more mature looking persons, I asked if they were also celebrating graduation. She yelled and said “ I told you, it’s an enrolment , not a graduation “. This is when I told her, You do not get to yell at me. I pay good money to hire a guide who will be patient and courteous, not a rude person like you. I told her that she was giving Japanese people a bad name. By then, we were about to enter a restaurant where everything is in Japanese other than pictures of the dish. She went ahead and hurriedly explained everything and when I pointed at something that looked like a meat dish, I inquired if it was chicken or beef. In a very loud voice if the restaurant line she said “ I had already told you what it was! By this time I had enough of her, I walked up, figured out how to order and pay on my own, got a table to sit by myself and told her to stay away from me. She had the nerve to insist that she is sorry and sat down in the chair opposite me. I simply got up, and moved myself away from her toxic presence. By this time, money I paid for the tour which was a total of 12 hours over 2 days was a complete waste and disaster! She came and refunded me some money and walked away. This woman needs anger management training and should not be a guide who represents your country to tourist. She has no patience and will ruin your company’s reputation

Because you said you cannot hear I thought it was your hearing problems but thinking it over it was your problem with difficulty of understanding some English words like "frreshmen" and "entrance." You spoke English quite well so it was difficult to notice that but certainly you had trouble with those words. From now on, I should know that some people won't know the appropriate way to ask me to repeat what they haven't catched. Also not having well balanced lunch seem to make Debbie san short tempered. I learned the lesson that eating nut bars might make people a nutcase. Have a nice trip anyway.

“Horrible experience with this guide!”
Her first comment to me when she met me is “ Oh you are not Chubby!” She kept insisting I remove my baseball cap before she will take photos. She snapped at me several times when I couldn’t hear what she was saying because of the noise in the subway and the fact that she wore a mask indoors and outdoors. It didn’t take more than 2 hours when I told her that I had enough of her rudeness. She apologised and then told me that since I already paid for two days tour, the money will not be refunded. So I asked if GowithGuide tour will at least change my guide. She said, No, because she said everyone is already booked but she promised to do better after I told her that I will not tolerate here yelling and snapping at me when I ask for clarification.

I was my first time meeting a person not know the words ”Sorry?””What did you say?" when she could not hear something and when we were going to Sendagi, she asked "Shinjuku?" which is completely different. She wanted to pretend to know everything which won't be possible. I thought you wanted to have pictures with your beautiful face but maybe you'd prefer to hide it with your cap. Sorry I didn't know that.
