Guiding Fee
Transportation Fare (You and the Guide: SHINKANSEN 28940 Yen per person, Kyoto (bus/train/taxi fare)), Lunch, Dinner, Admission Fee of the temples, etc.
Nozomi Shinkansen is preferable which leaves every ten minutes and faster.
PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU BOOK THIS TOUR.
NO ARASHIYAMA BAMBOO FOREST with this tour.
Kyoto was the capital for 1100 years or so. There are so much to see so it would be better to spend a few days there, but if your days here are limited, this tour is for you.
(It is possible for me to see you off at your hotel in Kyoto but please cover my return trip, too.)
The Shinkansen, Bullet train, fare (round trip) is 28740 yen. Please cover my transportation fare too.
To cover the most during the limited time, it would be idealistic to use taxis to save time. If there are more than 3 people in your group, let's use two taxis between the spots.
Minor change or skipping some spots are possible but ADDING EXTRA SPOTS might be DIFFICULT because of the limited time.
We will start early but might be in rush hours in the morning.
Not on Dec. 28-Jan. 4 because it would be hard to get seats on Shinkansen and temples and shrines will be overcrowded.
Hi, I'm Yoko, a National License Tour Guide&International Kikisake-shi.
I speak with an American accent, 'cause I lived in Seattle, Washington for six years in my childhood(3-9 years old). My tours might be better with people who LOVE TO WALK, have STAMINA and keen to learn about the culture.
Now I live within a walking distance from Ueno Park, Tokyo, so I see a lot of International tourists walking around in my neighborhood every day.
(PLEASE CHECK EACH TOUR. The expenses are spelled out, too.)
"Tokyo is larger than we thought and the transportations are so complicated," Swedish guys told me. I'm here to help you. I know well about Tokyo, Yokohama, Yamanashi etc. and I travel most of the parts of Japan.
I would appreciate if you could see more sightseeing spots with me as your guide and enjoy your stay.
I love to answer your questions, even though I became nearly breathless when I was with American guests, a family of three, curiously asking me questions after questions:-)
I appreciated their interest in Japan very much.
I also go mountain trekking for nearly thirty years. I've been to the summit of Mt. Fuji and Mt. Kitadake three times. Talking about Mt. Takao, maybe more than fifty times.
I hope we can enjoy the beautiful view together.
I'm looking forward to seeing you soon and having a good time together.
Hope to hearing from you soon.

“Masterful Direction”
Yoko did a great job of figuring out exactly what we wanted to see in Nikko when we weren’t even sure ourselves! She let us know exactly what to do at every turn in advance so we were never at a loss. We are so grateful for her help. We also loved that she gave us recommendations on what else to see in Tokyo and they were spot on.
Yoko T.
Wow!! Thank you so much for such an amazing review. I love that picture that reminds me how wonderful friends you all are. I really enjoyed that day at Nikko even it was a bit cold. I hope you found the Kegon Falls' observatory worth visiting. I was glad you also liked the Age Yuba Manju (Fried Yuba Dumplings) and Senbei the rice crackers. I'm also quite flattered the recommendation of the Ukiyoe Digital Exhibition matched your taste. I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip in Hakone, Kanazawa, Kyoto and Hiroshima. Please say hello to your husband, Sheila and Leroy qnd tell them I'm grateful for having a great time together with all of you. It was really nice meeting all of you. I will look forward to seeing your pictures on your homepage, Marcia san. Thank you again, Yoko

“Our day tour of Tokyo”
We cannot say enough good things about Yoko. She met us at our hotel on time and was so understanding and helpful in every step of the tour. She helped us get everyone day passes for the subway (was the best way to travel in order to see all the sites on our list). Since we had chatted through messages beforehand, she had already put together the perfect itinerary for us. We were able to see every site on our list and even had an amazing lunch at a local out of the way place. She was so kind in telling us what the items were on the lunch menu and ordered for everyone. Every place we stopped to visit, she explained everything we were seeing, answered every question we had and gave us the story or history behind it all. I really enjoyed the little quiz questions she would ask to see if we could identify what some items were. Even in all of the hustle to get everything in, she kept us on track and on time, even giving me enough time to do my traditional stop at the Hard Rock Café for pictures and to buy my shot glass. She was more than patient with me especially, since I had to keep making pit stops. I felt bad and that I was slowing things down, but Yoko was just amazing and so understanding. We had the most amazing time in Tokyo, got so many great new experiences, and to see so many new sites, that we could not have done without Yoko. It was an amazing experience we will never forget, and it is all credited to Yoko.

Thank you so much for such an amazing review and the wonderful day, Michael san. I'm glad we could see some sakuras together and I really enjoy talking with both of you. There are so much to see in Japan as your wife summed up too so I will dream of you and your wife coming here and seeing you soon. Thank you again, Yoko

“Great first day with Yoko in Tokyo”
We had a fantastic first day in Tokyo with Yoko! She picked us up directly from our hotel and shared so much valuable insight about both Tokyo and Japan, which was perfect for our first full day in the country. We walked over 15 km and covered a lot of ground, taking in a wide range of sights. Yoko also took us to a wonderful, authentic lunch spot and made sure every detail of the day was thoughtfully planned. Highly recommended!

I appreciate your wonderful review, Merel san. I had a great time with both of you who were so intelligent, amazing lovely couple. Starting with the Kawazu-zakura welcoming you next to the National Stadium, we could see some wedding couples at Meiji Jingu Shrine, beautiful cherry blossoms at East Gardens, Asakusa and Ueno Park. It was really nice meeting you. I love the conversations we could have together. I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in Japan. Thank you again, Yoko
