I live in Yokohama, Kanagawa prefecture. I have a license to teach in high schools and was admitted to the degree of Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language in the University of Birmingham. Until 2015 I had been teaching English at public high schools in Kanagawa for 37 years. During that time, I had some experience of guiding students from overseas through sister-school relationship around Tokyo and Kanagawa. Therefore, I had good command of English with the TOEIC score of 935. As for a tour guide experience I earned the certificate of National Government Licensed Guide-Interpreter in English and since then I have guided tourists to the popular sites around Tokyo, Yokohama, Kamakura and Yokosuka. “Yokohama was better than I expected because of Kaneo”

Kaneo-San was very professional, resourceful and knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited. He helped us select some of the most interesting and beautiful places to see in Yokohama, one of them was the Sankeien Garden. It is a must see garden with beautiful ponds, different species of cherry blossom trees, historical houses representing different periods in Japan brought from different parts of Japan such as old farm houses, tea ceremonial house and the oldest temple constructed in 1400s brought in from Kyoto.. it is an open air museum ! Last but not least, Kaneo-San went out of his way to help my sister to pick up a purchase she has made from the Red Brick Warehouse! “This man does his homework”

My wife and I booked with Ken at Yokohama pre-cruise and he came prepared with notebook in hand. Despite our impulsive changes on the fly he knew how to compensate venues and was very patient every step of the way. His English was totally understandable as well.

Thank you very much for your wonderful remarks. I hope you found Yokohama is an attractive city where tells you the history of Japan's modernization from the Edo period to the current, and toward the future. Because the city was one of the ports that started trading with other countries from the end of the Edo period, it retains multi-cultural features, Japanese, Western and Chinese as you eye witnessed. Although it was a full-day tour, it was not enough for me to introduce the charms of the city. I am looking forward to having you here again!
