Yacco M.
Hi, I’m Yacco, a friendly and passionate local guide. I was born and raised in Shizuoka and have lived in Yokohama for over 30 years. For the past several years, I’ve been guiding international visitors in Kamakura, Yokohama, and Tokyo as a volunteer, helping them discover the rich history, culture, and hidden charm of these unique cities. Traveling abroad creates once-in-a-lifetime memories, and I would love for you to fully experience the beauty and spirit of my favorite towns. I not only enjoy showing historical and modern landmarks, but also love introducing quiet backstreets, seasonal flowers, cozy cafés, and delicious local food that reflect the charm of everyday life. What I enjoy most is comparing Japanese traditions with my guests’ own cultures and histories—these conversations often lead to deep and inspiring exchanges. As your guide, I’m happy to customize tours based on your interests, whether you’re seeking unique experiences, historical insights, or local flavors. Let’s walk, talk, and create unforgettable memories together!

Yusuke T.
Hi! I'm Yusuke, a 30-year-old local guide born and raised in Nagasaki, Japan. I also spent two years working in Australia in the electrical industry. I love traveling and have visited more than 30 countries around the world. I also love connecting with people from different cultures and sharing our languages. In my free time, I've always enjoyed showing Nagasaki to my friends from overseas. Seeing them enjoy and fall in love with my hometown has always made me happy. That inspired me to become a professional local guide. Simply walking through the streets of Nagasaki is enjoyable. But I believe your trip becomes much more meaningful when you understand the history and culture behind what you see. I'd love to help you discover those stories and make your visit even more memorable. I look forward to meeting you and exploring Nagasaki together!

Yoshiko O.
Hello! My name is Yoshiko. I am a national licensed guide‑interpreter in English and Chinese, and I also speak a little French. I live in Azumino City in Nagano Prefecture, a place known for its stunning views of the Northern Japan Alps, peaceful rural scenery, and crystal‑clear spring water. Earlier in my career, I worked as a tax consultant and spent time living in England and China. Captivated by Azumino’s natural beauty and relaxed atmosphere, I eventually relocated here from Tokyo. I would love to show you Azumino’s most beautiful and fascinating places, and introduce you to its culture, history, and local specialties. I am flexible with tour plans, so please feel free to share your interests and requests. I look forward to welcoming you and guiding you through Azumino and the surrounding region.

Dominic W.
Konnichiwa, I'm Dom - nice to meet you! Originally from Switzerland, I fulfilled my dream of moving to Japan and now live in Kyoto. In addition to my daily Aikido training, I work as a private tour guide, offering personalized experiences of the city. Whether you're interested in one of the tours listed on my website or prefer a custom tour based on your interests, I’m here to help make your visit to Kyoto unforgettable. How did I end up in the Land of the Rising Sun? My fascination with Japan began in childhood and has only deepened over the years. I immersed myself in studying the country's culture and history, exploring countless books, and, according to my friends, was probably a bit too enthusiastic about it! I always knew that visiting Japan was inevitable, and it became a reality after I started training in Aikido, a traditional Japanese martial art. This journey brought me to Kyoto, where I completed a two-year intensive program to become an Aikido instructor. Having achieved that goal, I am now teaching while continuing to grow as an instructor, with the long-term vision of one day opening my own dojo. If you’re visiting my website, it means you share an interest in exploring Kyoto’s rich culture and history, an enthusiasm we have in common! I fell in love with Kyoto, and my goal is to help you experience the city in a way that will leave you as captivated by it as I am.

Chiu M.
Hello, and welcome to Japan! My name is Chiu, and I’m a British national who has been living in Japan for over a decade. During that time, Japan has become much more than simply a place where I live and work. It has become a country I’ve explored, experienced, and grown to truly appreciate. For more than 12 years, I worked as an Assistant Language Teacher in Japanese public schools, working with both elementary and junior high school students. This gave me the opportunity to work closely with Japanese teachers, students, and local communities, while also giving me a unique perspective on everyday life in Japan that visitors don't normally get to experience. I enjoy sharing the things that make Japan fascinating beyond the obvious tourist attractions. Tokyo has incredible temples, shrines, shopping districts, skyscrapers, and famous landmarks, but I also enjoy the smaller details—the history behind a neighborhood, the stories behind Japanese traditions, discovering great local food, and simply experiencing everyday life in Japan. What can I show you? Whether this is your first visit to Tokyo or you've been here before, I’m happy to create a tour around your interests. First time in Tokyo? We can explore some of the city's famous sights, historic areas, temples, and shrines while learning about the stories behind them. Love Japanese food? Let's explore Tokyo's food scene and discover some of the dishes and local spots that make Japanese cuisine so special. Most importantly, I want my tours to feel less like following a script and more like spending a day exploring Japan with a knowledgeable local friend. I'm happy to answer questions, adjust the pace, and tailor the experience to what you want to see and do. If you're coming to Japan, I'd love to help make your trip memorable and show you a side of Japan that you'll want to come back and experience again!

“Exceptional, educational, fulfilling, cultural experience all in one day tour of Tokyo!”
We were so very fortunate to get to spend a very full day with Toshihiro-San as he shared his extensive knowledge of Japan, and of Tokyo in particular! He is also very aware of tour guests background and cultural differences as he has also traveled well internationally himself. Our focus was on the eastern side of the city in a complete exposure of the most important sights the city has to offer. We learned about the cultural history from his deep knowledge and understanding as a long time resident and guide. Toshihiro-San is very dedicated to making sure his guests are comfortable, able to move as fast or as relaxed as they wish. He is very patient, and good at adjusting the activity, and the plan based on what is important to his tour guests. From the history, the important temples, special sights that are central to understanding and learning about life in Tokyo, or just the best lunch spot or place to sit and rest, Toshihiro-San is ready to make the day very enjoyable and memorable. We could not have asked for a better first day introduction to Tokyo! Thank you Toshihiro-San for a great day visit for making us so comfortable, and for having been such a kind gentlemen to now call a friend. We will look forward to a return visit with you as our expert guide to life in Tokyo and Japan. You have accomplished your goal for us to make our trip much more trouble free while enjoying a cultural exposure and teaching us how to move around using the subway system. Until next time we visit, very best to you, we wish you all the best!

We had an outstanding day with Akira. He did an excellent job of showing us the history of Kyoto using each side of the city. Very knowledgeable and we covered quite a lot in our 7.5 hours. We are very satisfied and have another tour planned with Akira in Osaka this week.
