Hello, my dear would-be guests! My name is Hiroko. People call me Hiro for short. I am a government licensed guide. Here I am to make your time in a tour full of fun and provide you an unforgettable travel experience of your life. I grew up and live in Yokohama that is adjacent to Tokyo. After many years of several English-related job experiences, such as translating, teaching, desk work, etc., I finally found this job, tour guide, which is a perfect fit for my true nature. I love meeting people, having fun with people, and am always looking for something interesting wanting to share it with people. How about spending a part of your precious time here in Japan with this cheerful, friendly and well-informed tour guide, Hiro?

Kaneo U.
I’m so excited to have a chance to show you around my favorite spots in Kanagawa prefecture. I was born in Kanagawa. I spent my whole school life, including university, here in Kanagawa. I worked as a high school English teacher here for more than 40 years. I love Kanagawa so much. We have many interesting tourist spots, like Hakone, Kamakura, Enoshima and Yokohama. I got my tour guide license in English in 2009. I am still an English teacher. To give an interesting and impressive lesson to young high school students, I’ve learnt and gathered many kinds of information. I also have a license to teach social studies, so I have a wide range of knowledge about Japanese culture and history. I’m sure to provide you an interesting tour.

Grant A.
Hello! My name is Grant, and I’ve spent over a decade living and exploring Japan. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, I first came to Japan as a high school exchange student in Inuyama, a historic castle town in Aichi. My love for Japan began early—sparked by childhood games like Pokémon that were released in Japanese before English. That early curiosity grew into a lifelong passion for Japanese language, culture, and history. I hold an N2 on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, a degree in Asian Studies from a Tokyo university, and I graduated from the Japan Visual Media Translation Academy. I’ve visited all 47 prefectures and explored a wide range of historical sites, shrines, and castles throughout the country. My background in Japanese history helps me provide context that brings depth and meaning to the places we visit—whether it's understanding a centuries-old temple in Kyoto, the story behind a castle ruin, or uncovering the historical layers of a Tokyo neighborhood. If you’re planning to explore Tokyo, here are some tour options to consider: One day in Tokyo? The Ginza Line Tour offers a great introduction to the city’s highlights. Two days? Pair the East Tokyo Tour and West Tokyo Tour to get a well-rounded experience. Interested in anime? The Anime Tour is flexible and can be tailored to match your specific interests. For those looking to go beyond the city, I also offer day trips to Nikko, Kamakura, and other nearby destinations. While most guests book Tokyo-based tours, I also guide in other regions—especially Kyoto, where I’ve visited every World Heritage Site. I regularly lead tours in Osaka, Nara, Nagoya, Hikone, and other locations easily reached by rail. Multi-day and custom tours are available on request. Full-Day Tour: 40,000 yen (8 hours) Full-Day Tour Outside of Tokyo: 40,000 yen + transportation Feel free to get in touch to plan a tour that fits your interests and travel plans.

Mikhail B.
Hello, my name is Mikhail. I’ve been living in Japan for three years. I studied here, learned the language to JLPT N1 level, and became deeply familiar with the culture and everyday life. I speak English fluently and worked as a guide for a Japanese company for one year, mainly with English-speaking travelers. I truly love Japan — especially Tokyo, a city I know not just by its landmarks but also by its unique atmosphere. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion, guiding people through both famous sights and hidden local spots that most visitors never see. I love meeting new people and believe that every tour should feel personal, fun, and memorable.

KONNICHIWA! I am Rene. I studied commerce and marketing at university and have already graduated. I also studied abroad in France, where I was deeply inspired by the positivity and openness of people from different cultures. Through that experience, I discovered the joy of connecting with others beyond language and cultural barriers. Now, as a guide in Japan, I hope to share the authentic beauty and warmth of this country with visitors from around the world, while supporting and inspiring them during their journey!!!

Ayami M.

“Fabulous Tokyo discovery with Kaori”
I had a delightful tour with Kaori who willingly changed the itinerary to accommodate my desire to focus on art and architecture. So we visited beautiful, tranquil Nezu Museum and stunning teamLab Borderless interactive digital art museum. Kaori was a joy to be with, she is very knowledgeable, friendly, super flexible and took very good care of me. Thanks for a brilliant last day of my trip in Japan. Barbara

Thank you so much for taking your precious time while you are still in Japan to give the warmest review for me. I’m delighted to hear you had a brilliant day as the last day of your one month trip to Japan. Also, THANK YOU for giving me the opportunity to enjoy the seasonal beauty of my favorite museums and Christmas illumination. It made a memorable moment on me too to share the special moment with you. Can’t wait to see you again on your next visit to Japan! Big hugs, Kaori

“One day trip to Kamakura”
We had a wonderful day trip to Kamakura with Yoko , although it was probably the busiest Sunday for the season Yoko managed to get us to all the places we wanted to see and explained all the historical details of the various Shrines and Temples. Yoko is a lovely person and her language skill is excellent, we would thoroughly recommend Yoko for your guide in Japan. Many Thanks Yoko for a great tour Paul and Sue

Yoko I.
Thank you so much for posting such a lovely review, Paul and Sue! I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed our tour in Kamakura. I had a wonderful time with both of you. Honestly I worried if we could visit all the places smoothly because it was a beautiful Sunday in autumn. The traffic was heavier in some places, but I’m glad that everything went smoothly. Instead of getting on a crowded bus, we walked back to Kamakura station. I really appreciate your cooperation. Thank you so much for having me as your guide. I hope you have enjoyed your last part of your journey in Japan and you’ll get home safely.
