Kamakura Tour Reviews

Fab’ guide to recommend

Came with a group of 9pax. Melody was absolutely lovely. He suggested the program and even though it was a hot day in Kamakura, we visited a lot of temples and he gave us ideas for lunch and how to spend the afternoon as well. He has a lot of knowledge and made it suitable to my group in the 20s/30s. Everyone loved him. Do yourself a favor and book a tour with this great, kind, knowledgeable, flexible and lovely person!

Thank you, Sarah! Your group ended up being bigger than when you first booked the tour. Guiding a large group can be a little challenging, but at the same time, it makes the tour lively and a lot of fun. Since our itinerary included quite a few shrines and temples, I was a little worried that some guests might get bored, but I was very happy to see that everyone enjoyed the tour very much. It was also my pleasure to answer so many questions about Japanese culture. I hope you all continue to have a wonderful time in Japan!

Knowledgeable - full of life - flexible

Absolutely loved our tour with Melody! What an awesome person he is. Always super responsive pre-tour, made suggestions for the tour, included our priorities in the itinerary. Super flexible. He was very joyful, knowledgeable and kind during our tour. We really loved our time with him. Would highly recommend you to book with him. I work in tourism myself and am a very well travelled person (almost 60 countries) - believe me when I say he is one of the best guides I had!

Sarah, thank you so much for joining my tour! Hearing that I was the best guide you’ve had in the 60 countries you’ve visited is truly the best compliment I could ever receive. Your group of 10 was amazing too! In just four hours, we managed to visit quite a few places Kamakura—Engakuji Temple, Kenchoji Temple, Hansobo Shrine, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, and Komachi Street—and we collected some goshuin (stamps) along the way as well. I hope you’ll be able to collect many more goshuin and make lots of wonderful memories during the rest of your time in Japan!
