Ayami M.

Yacco M.
Hi, I’m Yacco, a friendly and passionate local guide. I was born and raised in Shizuoka and have lived in Yokohama for over 30 years. For the past several years, I’ve been guiding international visitors in Kamakura, Yokohama, and Tokyo as a volunteer, helping them discover the rich history, culture, and hidden charm of these unique cities. Traveling abroad creates once-in-a-lifetime memories, and I would love for you to fully experience the beauty and spirit of my favorite towns. I not only enjoy showing historical and modern landmarks, but also love introducing quiet backstreets, seasonal flowers, cozy cafés, and delicious local food that reflect the charm of everyday life. What I enjoy most is comparing Japanese traditions with my guests’ own cultures and histories—these conversations often lead to deep and inspiring exchanges. As your guide, I’m happy to customize tours based on your interests, whether you’re seeking unique experiences, historical insights, or local flavors. Let’s walk, talk, and create unforgettable memories together!

Kaneo U.
I’m so excited to have a chance to show you around my favorite spots in Kanagawa prefecture. I was born in Kanagawa. I spent my whole school life, including university, here in Kanagawa. I worked as a high school English teacher here for more than 40 years. I love Kanagawa so much. We have many interesting tourist spots, like Hakone, Kamakura, Enoshima and Yokohama. I got my tour guide license in English in 2009. I am still an English teacher. To give an interesting and impressive lesson to young high school students, I’ve learnt and gathered many kinds of information. I also have a license to teach social studies, so I have a wide range of knowledge about Japanese culture and history. I’m sure to provide you an interesting tour.

Mikhail B.
Hello, my name is Mikhail. I’ve been living in Japan for three years. I studied here, learned the language to JLPT N1 level, and became deeply familiar with the culture and everyday life. I speak English fluently and worked as a guide for a Japanese company for one year, mainly with English-speaking travelers. I truly love Japan — especially Tokyo, a city I know not just by its landmarks but also by its unique atmosphere. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion, guiding people through both famous sights and hidden local spots that most visitors never see. I love meeting new people and believe that every tour should feel personal, fun, and memorable.

“Memorable day with a charming person.”
My family and I took a tour in Kamakura with Yasuko. She was very patient and took us to places with very few tourists. We also visited the Great Buddha and had a fantastic lunch. Yasuko is a wonderful person—kind, cheerful, and with a great spirit of helping others. If you are one of the lucky people to meet her, please be kind and considerate to her. Spending a day with Yasuko is like spending time with a friend. My family and I will always remember her. Arigatōgosaimazu mabudachi!

Dear Oskar-san, Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and heartwarming words. Spending the day with you and your beautiful family in Kamakura was truly a gift for me as well. In Japan, we have a phrase Ichigo Ichie — a once-in-a-lifetime encounter. Our day in Kamakura with you felt exactly like that: precious and unforgettable. I am deeply grateful for this special encounter. Arigato gozaimasu from the bottom of my heart. I carry this memory with deep gratitude. Warmly, Yacco

“Sunshine and Blossoms - Kamakura”
Day 3 was a gloriously sunny Monday. After the snow and wind the day before, it was a welcomed site. Kaneo helped me complete some banking business first thing and then we headed off to visit temples in Kamakura. On the train to Kamakura I had a great view of Mt. Fuji!!! We saw early blossoms on plum, cherry and other trees, went into the belly of the Great Buddha, had my favorite lunch, and experienced Matcha tea in a bamboo forest amongst other things. Kaneo made my whole visit a success from start to finish.

Thank you for warm review. I am really happy to have a chance to show you my favorite spot of Kamakura under the blue sky, though Yokohama in snowing was also beautiful. I am also happy to share this memorial time with you. This is the most impressive guiding.

“A good overview of Japanese history and culture”
Had a great tour with Yuki. He was well prepared. I enjoy the iPad presentations of Japanese history on the local train to Kamakura. It was fun to learn about many culture stories and legends. Yuki’s explanation of the street food and souvenirs was very helpful for a foreigner.

Thank you for your great review of my tour. We visited the Great Buddha, Hase-dera Temple, and Komachi Street. It was a cold, snowy day, but I enjoyed eating street food with you. Thank you again for taking my Kamakura tour. Yuki
