Japan

Hello, everyone!! My name is Yukihiro(行博), call me "HERO". I'm eager to introduce this unique country, Japan to foreign guests. I am not a professional interpreter. I have retired from Japan Ground Self-Defense Force(JGSDF=Japanese Army) on March 2018. I have spent most of my career as a Army NCO(Non-commissioned officer) . My job experiences are only in the military, but there are variety of specialties, so I didn't feel boredom. I lived in many places all over Japan, such as Hokkaido 10years, Chiba 15years, Okinawa 8years and more places. I am working for the half of month as a tour-conductor in Okinawa Japan. Rest of month, I live in Nagasaki Prefecture, and work as a Triple Lights interpreter tour guide. I am registered as a Okinawa prefectural interpreter tour guide (English & Chinese), but don't have a whole Japan area certification. So I am brushing my skill up to get it. I speak English, Chinese (simplify & traditional) , no problem to guide you, not like a native though.

Hello, everyone! I am Yoshiharu, a national certified tour guide. Fukuoka is my birthplace, so I have a close attachment to this region. Though you may not be familiar with the name of Fukuoka, I assure you that Fukuoka will provide new discovery and pleasure to your stay in Japan. I have a passion to introduce my country and regions from many points of views. Japan is a country which offers original culture and history. On the other hand, Japan has another attractiveness represented by advanced toilets with many functions, hotels with robot receptionists and so on. The co-existing society with the image of old Japan and the present Japan with high technology definitely make Japan a more attractive place. Not only take you to sightseeing spots and give you some explanations, but also I will help you to learn much more deeply about Japan and Japanese people, their way of thinking and lifestyle. In Addition to the tour guide license, I have received the qualification of international kikisake-shi,.sake sommelier. I will do my best to make your stay in Japan more memorable in a fun way. Let’s go out for new adventures together! (NOTE) I am not a land operator. It means that I don't make reservations for vans, accommodations and other things for you except I think it is indispensable for me. I can give you some advice but, for example, if you want to charter a van for your travel, please contact taxi companies and make a reservation by yourselves. If you have difficulties doing it that way, please contact GoWithGuide or land operators in Japan and your country. Thank you for your understanding.

Great Day in Nagasaki with Yoshi

My family and I chose Yoshiko to guide us around Nagasaki and we had an amazing time. Yoshiko initially proposed a route according to our request, but she was flexible enough to adjust it ad hoc to our requests. We also had a great personal interaction with Yoshiko, sharing personal perspectives on local, cultural topics, but also on more personal points. All in all a great day with a wonderful person in a beautiful city with a twofold history!

Yoshiko H.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Your kind words encourage me greatly. I enjoyed talking with you and your family, too. And again I really appreciate your visit to Nagasaki. I do hope you will be satisfied with the rest of the trip as well. Please give my best regards to your lovely wife and nice son. Best regards, Yoshi

Passion and Love for a City is Now Our Lasting Impression

Our tour guide “Yoshi”, was at the top of her game when it came to the normal attributes used to evaluate the performance of local guides such as possessing the ability to provide a meaningful and comprehensive background of the city being visited. In addition, it is important that the proper itinerary is selected which includes the expected highlights which a city is known for, but also locations that also imparts the unique character visitors can observe and experience to associate with the visit. Yoshi demonstrated that she possessed the expertise to easily meet and exceed the performance standards identified above, but in addition, she had the ability to integrate her personal passion and the love for her hometown city to our tour. She accomplished this so effectively that upon our departure from the city of Nagasaki, Japan, all of us left with a special attachment and love for this city which is thanks to Yoshi! Highly recommended.

goto islands tour

Hero is a super friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. He arranged for a tour that involved seeing some important sites on the goto islands. His arrangements met with my expectations and I’d heartily recommend him for those who want to know a little bit more of the goto islands.

Yukihiro (Hero)行博

Thank you very much for the high evaluation of my guidance. I appreciate you very much. 1st day was so hectic, with many ferry boat transfers and walking a long distance on the rough routes. Two days were very short for Goto tour, please come again and visit rest of Goto islands. Hero

4-day Goto islands tour

We engaged Hero for a 4-day tour of the Goto islands, to see hidden Christian sites and churches. Hero was responsive in planning the tour and answering our questions. He also made all the transport arrangements (ferry, rental car, boat) and accommodation bookings so that we could visit all the churches as planned. On the tour itself he was energetic and ensured that we were well taken of, often until the evening and dinner time. He was also careful to keep his personal costs reasonable as this was a private tour. He was able to converse well in English and enthusiastic to share his knowledge about the various hidden Christian sites. As it’s not convenient to visit the sites on the Goto islands without knowledge of Japanese, we recommend engaging Hero for a fun and interesting tour.

Dear Rey and Siu, Thank you very much for your high evaluation for my guiding tour. I've been so comfortable to guide you during this 4 days as if we're friends. I am so appreciated that. Take care and have a safe trip to your home, and see you in the near future in Japan again. Best regards, Hero
