This tour covers all the attractive places to see in Miyajima island. We visit Itsukushima Shrine, Mt. Misen and Daishyoin Temple in one day. Mt. Misen is very high, so we should use aerial ropeway. We may walk for a long time, so please wear comfortable clothes on the day.

Tour Important Information
Itsukushima Shrine is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Japan. Its vermilion-colored Torii gate, though a little faded now, is a well-known symbol of this World Heritage Site. Miyajima island, however, is not a special place only for this shrine. The island itself has a sacred atmosphere. In Mt. Misen, you'll find quiet and secluded places for the ascetic training of Buddhist priests in old days. In Daishyoin Temple, you'll see many unique Buddhist images and experience impenetrable darkness. And in Itsukushima Shrine, you'll be aware of Japanese traditional aesthetic values. On this tour, I'd like you to feel the heart and soul of the Japanese.
ferry fare to Miyajima Island: 180 JPY (one way) / round trip ticket for Miyajima ropeway:1800 JPY / Itsukushima Shrine's admission fee: 300 JPY
There are no convenience stores or banks on Miyajima Island, so you need to keep some amount of cash and small changes on you before moving to the island.

“Day tour 8 hours”
Ms Azusa was wonderful. Full of energy, very enthusiastic and fluent in English. Appreciated the lunch reservation- Okonoyomiyaki, which is a Hiroshima special. In both the shrine on Miyajima and the Hiroshima museum, Azusa San stood in long ticket lines, while we had time to take pictures and explore the area briefly on our own. She was very conscientious of our time and allowed us to use it to the fullest. She addressed the history of Hiroshima with accuracy and grace, which was appreciated. We had a wonderful day chatting with Ms. Azsusa throughout the day and would highly recommend her as a guide.
