On this tour, we will visit some popular spots in Kamakura: Kotokuin Temple (Great Buddha), Tsurugaokahachimangu Shrine, Hokokuji Temple (Bamboo garden), Engakuji Temple, Zeniaraibenzaiten Shrine, etc. We will also enjoy shopping and museums.
Meeting Point
At the East exit of JR Kamakura station
(1) Hase Area : Koutokuin Temple (Daibutsu or Great Buddha ) , Hasedera Temple (Great Kannon Statue, beautiful garden and ocean view from the temple. )
(2) Central Area : Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, Komachi-dori Shopping street or Kamakurabori Museum( Traditional Japanese Lacquered wood carving Museum)
(3) East Area : Hokokuji Temple (Bamboo garden ) , Jomyoji Temple ( Enjoy seeing a dry garden over green tea! )
(4) Kita-Kamakura Area : Engakuji Temple (A Large Zen Buddhist temple ) , Tokeiji Temple , Jochiji Temple
(5) Mountain side Area : Zeniaraibenten Shrine , Sasukeinarijinja Shrine, etc.

“Tokyo Illuminations Tour”
Our tour with Yu was excellent. She planned a great itinerary showing off the lights and she knew the city so well taking us along shortcuts to quickly get from A to B. Yu spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable. At the end of the tour she was so lovely that she gave us a little gift with a handmade Christmas card which included a handmade origami tree inside. Thanks Yu.

“Nice Day In Kamakura ”
We were a little late arriving at the train station, however, Yu was a trooper and stuck around for our arrival. It was very easy to find her as she had a sign with my name raised high above her head. Yu had hand drawn a cute map outlining our day trip. We visited a couple of temples, the bamboo garden and the Great Buddha. Yu was very knowledgeable of the history of each site visited. Yu was very patient as we slowed down the tour as we stopped many times to take pictures. I would definitely take another tour with Yu.
