Hakone Open-Air Museum
The museum is built in Hakone with the aim of harmonizing nature and art. Many art works are placed on the vast site of about 70,000 square meters, surrounded by trees, grass and mountains.
Picasso Pavillion is located in the museum. 116 of Picasso's works are displayed.
Komagatake Ropeway
The ropeway is the only means of transportation to get to Komagatake, 1356 meter high.
The 1,800-meter ride from Hakoneen on the shores of Lake Ashi to the summit of Mount Hakone Komagatake takes only 7 minutes one way. The panoramic view of Hakone spreads out like a box garden with Lake Ashi in the center, the majestic Mt. Fuji.

Lake Ashi Cruse
Lake Ashi was formed in the caldera of Mount Hakone after the volcano's last eruption 3000 years ago. The best views of the lake in combination with Mount Fuji can be enjoyed Hakone-En to Moto-Hakone (a few steps south from the sightseeing boat pier), from the sightseeing boats cruising the lake. 30 minutes.
Hakone Shrine
Hakone Shrine / Kuzuryu Shrine Singu Hakone Shrine stands along the shores of Lake Ashi. The shrine has huge torii gates, one standing prominently in the lake and two others over the main street of Moto-Hakone. A path leads from the torii gate in Lake Ashi up a series of steps flanked by lanterns through the forest to the main building of the shrine among the tall trees.
