Higashibetsuin (Buddhist temple in Kanazawa)
7 minutes walk from the east exit of JR Kanazawa Station. This temple was founded in 1546. Shops around the shrine sell Buddhist sculptures, The stores that sell items for Buddhist altars preserve the atmosphere of Bygone eras.
Omicho Market
A market older than 300 years, it reflects Kanazawa food's culture. There are more than 170 shops in the market, and most of them are fishmongers. That sells freshly caught seafood. Along with this, there are clothes, vegetables, and fruit shops also.
Kanazawa Castle
Kanazawa Castle is one of the historical castles of Japan. It has three entrances Ishikawamon Gate, Sanjikken Yagura, and the Tsurumaru Storehouse. Walls are made up of vast stones. It was the headquarters of the Kaga domain. The guide will explain the history and get you through all the gates.
Kenrokuen Garden
The Three Great Gardens of Japan are Kenroku-en (in Kanazawa), Koraku-en (in Okayama), and Kairaku-en (in Mito). They were all created by daimyō (feudal lords) during the Edo period of 1603 to 1868. The best attraction of the garden is its artificial lack. We will walk through the garden. And here we will decide whether we go to the 21st Century Museum or walk to the Higashichaya district.
Lunch Break
Break time will be decided on the consent of customers. Customers can choose a hotel near the garden and eat the food of their choice. The guide will also go for eating food.
Kaga Kimono dying center
On a 5-minute walk, there is a kimono dying museum, where tourists can have hands-on kimono design and can have a look at the Japanese traditional dress. Here again, customers will be given choices of two places and they will select. But as a guide, I would prefer to go to Higashi Chaya District.
Higashi chaya District.
We will walk for 15 minutes from Kanazawa Castle Gardens to the Higashichaya district. This district was established in 1830 to entertain wealthy merchants with dance music and games.
