My name is Mika, a local guide living in Takamatsu city. I have been an English teacher, but the Setouchi International Art Festival awakened me to the joy of guiding. The more I learn about the Seto Inland Sea region, the more I am impressed by its life, history, architecture and art works. So, I would like to show you the spectacular scenery that you may have missed in guidebooks alone, and the sights that have yet to be introduced in guidebooks. In Kagawa Prefecture, island tours are also very popular, such as Naoshima, Teshima, and Inujima, which are sacred places for contemporary art, and I think you can better understand the connection between the history of the islands and art by touring with a guide. Of course, I would also like to introduce fresh harvest from the Seto Inland Sea, delicious local food, and shopping for folk crafts in the Takamatsu shopping arcade, which will satisfy you fully as a highlight of your journey.

Also, some parts of Japan. However, I was born, and raised around Tokyo(I moved different area when I was young). I love animals, beaches, snorkels, free diving, nature, coffee, yummy foods, and sharing different cultures! Once I got back to Tokyo, I was thinking so much that what I want to do and what I’m good at. I like to show and explain to people and I also realised how amazing Japanese culture is when I see it from outside of Japan. So, that’s the reason why I started this guide job! Japan Tour Reviews

Fun and interesting

Leandra was very efficient in communicating with me before the day to confirm the suggested itenary and inclusions of my ideas for the day. She arrived early and was very organised with all travel requirements for train routes, platform entries and exits. She researched for the most efficient routes and knew where she was at every point. Leandra gave brief historical overviews of many places and suggested other ideas within or close by to the same area. Her recommendations for shopping, coffee and meal breaks were all excellent and within budget. She took on board alternate ideas and changed the itenary as needed to fulfil my ideas as they arose on the spot. Leandra went out of her way to ask shop keepers my questions and meet my needs as best as possible. As conversations took place, Leandra diverted itenary to show building architectures, galleries and common foods/shops within specific areas. She considered my needs at every account asking how I was going. I would not hesitate to recommend this service and Leandra to others touring Tokyo.

Perfect way to explore Kyoto!

Takato was an excellent guide who thoughtfully crafted an itinerary to help us explore the highlights of Kyoto ahead of the winter holiday crowds. It was such a pleasure to learn the history and cultural significance of the sites, rather than simply walking through shrines and temples without context. He also took some beautiful photos of us that we’ll treasure forever. We would absolutely book with his team again!

Thank you so much! I’m really glad you enjoyed the tour and the photos. I’d love to guide you again sometime—looking forward to it!

Great two Tokyo days with Ritsuko

Ritsuko was a great guide. She was prompt, courteous, and spoke great English. When we changed our itinerary second day last minute, Ritsuko was flexible and accommodating.

Hi Adam, thank you so much for your wonderful review. Despite the limitations on destinations due to the year-end period, I’m glad you enjoyed the tour, especially Kamakura. As there are still many places in Tokyo I’d like to show you, please come back someday. Take care and stay healthy!
