There is a wonderful place called Shibamata near where you are staying now. Please have a look at pages  49 of the book I gave you today. From the nearby Keisei Hikifune Station, take the train to Takasago Station, then transfer to the Kanamachi Line and get off at Shibamata Station. You will immediately find yourself in the charming old town. Shibamata has preserved much of its traditional atmosphere and was also used as a filming location for the famous Japanese movie series Otoko wa Tsurai yo (It’s Tough Being a Man). Although there is no lake in Kamakura, I am glad that you were able to enjoy its scenic pond, beautiful beaches, and even a view of Mount Fuji.
