In Japan, there is a saying (pun) that goes "Don't say Kekko until you see Nikko", which means "Don't say you are fully satisfied until you see Nikko". The great representation of Nikko is the combination of unparelled Cultural World Heritage Site of Toshogu Shrine and pure beauty of nature at Kegon Falls and Lake Chuzenji. This tour covers all of those key sites with my professional explanation of history and culture behind those heritages. Let's discover beauty of Nikko and exclaim "Kekko!!"

- Please specify your hotel or your desired meeting point
Your hotel or desired meeting point in Tokyo.
I will meet with you at your hotel or at your desired point in Tokyo. I recommend a hired van which you can arrange through GoWith Guide. That would be the most time-efficient and economical way when you are a group of 5 or so.
Nikko Tou-shou-gu Shrine (Admission Yen 1,300 per person)
Nikko Toshogu Shrine is significant in two ways - one, for its artistic beauty. Its main gate Yomei Mon is also called "Higurashi-no-mon", which literally means that the beauty of the gate makes you stay there until after the sunset, for you forget about the time elapse. Another significance is its historic value which signifies the power of the first Shogun, IEYASU, who has been deified ias God in this shrine. Unfortunatelly, as we have a designated time schedule, you cannot quite stay there until sunset, however, I'm sure you will enjoy the after-image of this beautiful gate together with the pictures you will be taking during the tour.
Restaurant at Lake Chuzen-ji
You will enjoy variety of authentic Japanese or other ethnic cuisine of your choice.
Kegon Falls
This is a wonder of nature - elevation is 97 meters from the top of the falls and the bottom. You will see, hear and feel the spiritual water falls from close observations point.
Lake Chu-zen-ji
Entertains you with its natural beauty all the year round with its fresh air at the altitude of 1,269 meters above sea level

“Outstanding Guide”
My wife and I toured four days with Tom. I highly recommend him as your private tour guide. He customized each day to our priorities and was knowledgeable about each site visited. He was thoughtful and communicated effectively both in planning and while on tours. We felt comfortable and safe at all times. Definitely exceeded our expectations.

Stephen and Sherri from Tom, I really appreciate the wonderful time you so kindly allowed me to spend with you. I also thank GoWithGuide for presenting me with such a wonderful opportunity. While it was an important work for me, it has turned out to be more like a quality time I truly enjoy being with such nice people. I feel that I truly enjoyed working for you during those 4 days. If my service was good, it’s a pure reflection of how nice of people you are. Meeting with nice people is the greatest joy in doing the tour guide. I want to thank you once again for making me happy. I will think about you a lot and I hope we will meet again!! Sincerely, Tsutomu “Tom” Harada

“Great guide makes for a great day”
Due to an injury to our original guide, Tsutomu (Tom) was his replacement and what a replacement, excellent in every aspect. Communication, English, knowledge, pace of tour, notably the transport system were superb.

I do appreciate your kindness that comes from warm heart. Initially the day had started as “work” but shortly after, I found myself truly enjoying the day. The greatest joy of a tour guide is meeting with nice people and you made my day. If my service was good, it is totally because of your character and considerations. I thank you once again for being with my guests, which has become my unforgettable memory. With all my very best. Tom

“Excellent tour!”
We had a wonderful day touring with Tsutomu. He provided lots of interesting background and details about the places we visited, and he was also a kind and pleasant person. We would definitely take another tour with Tsutomu if we visit Tokyo again!
