On this tour we'll go around the famous “otaku” town of Akihabara!!
"Otaku" is slang for people who are deeply into anime (animation), video games, comics, and Japansese “Idols (Japaese Pop Groups)”. The town of Akihabara is very famous for focusing on this kind of Japanese culture. While we're on this tour we'll be going through multiple shops and locations dedicated to this side of Japan's culture!!
A great place for people watching!!
Shops where we'll go:
Cosplay shops: costume shops which focus on anime, comic books, and video game characters.
Maid Cafe: A theme cafe in which waitresses are dressed in french maid-like costumes!!
Don Quijote: A shop you can find just about everything and has many strange goods that are probably only sold in Japan!
Other shops: we can arrange it upon your request or interests
Lunch:
Akihabara is also well known for Ramen and Japanese Style Curry shops. You'll be able to experience the local food of Japan.
Guide Fee, hotel pick up if you need it
Lunch, admisson for maid cafe
I booked a special tour of Akihabara and Shibuya for my family. Makoto was wonderful and very responsive in answering my questions as I decided on the details of the tour. He continued to answer my questions up to the day of the tour. Afterwards, my family reported that Makoto was a fabulous guide! He was very nice, friendly, patient, helpful, and he spoke excellent English. They were all very happy!
Makoto was a terrific guide -- on time, full of knowledge, excellent English, great personality and easy-going nature. We truly enjoyed touring around Tokyo with him. He always had a smile on his face even when we wanted to see so many sights in one day. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a tour guide of Tokyo or other parts of Japan.
Dear Randel Thank you for your amazing review. I'm really glad to hear that you have enjoyed the tour of Tokyo with me. Next time if you are in Japan, I can take you to some more deep area of Japanese culture. I hope we see each other soon Thank you very much. Best Regards Makoto
