One of the major five Zen Temples in kamakura.
The temple has two National Treasures, Syariden, and Oogane, big bell.
Buddha's tooth is enshrined in Shariden .
The second largest Buddha statue in Japan. The statue was in the Buddhist hall in the old days, but the hall was washed away by Tsunami, and now it sits in the open air.

The temple is famous for housing the tallest wooden Kannon statue
If you want, you can experience tracing Buddhist scripture or the picture of kannon.
The shrine used to be the political center of the Kamakura Shogun.
The local shopping street connected kamakura station to Tsurugaoka shrine.
