“Great guide four our first trip to Japan!!”

Akira was a very good decision as a guide for our family's first full day, first trip to Japan! He was a life saver showing us how to use the transportation system and understanding Tokyo's complex environment. The trip was fully customizable and he showed us areas of traditional Japanese living to modern day Japan. He has great knowledge of Japan and its history, he also worked with our slow pace for the entire day. He took us to a very delicious non-tourist Japanese restaurant and the entire family enjoyed it, even with our picky eaters. Again, Akira provided a professional, friendly and fun trip that kick started the rest of our trip to Japan. I highly recommend his guidance for anyone traveling to Japan, for the first time or any time. Thank you Akira and Ryan says "King Cesar"!!! lol

“A fantastic day exploring Tokyo with Akira”

Akira picked my wife and me up at our hotel, and from the very first stop at Meiji Shrine it was clear how deeply passionate he is about Japan, its people, and its culture. He shared what the shrine means to him personally and to Japanese culture as a whole, and we walked the beautiful grounds while he offered insights into Japanese history and traditions. One thing we really appreciated was how he encouraged us to take part in the culture respectfully, letting us know when it was appropriate to take photos and how to behave in shrines and temples. After a quick stop at a local café, we headed to Zoshigaya for delicious, authentic onigiri at one of Akira’s favourite spots. Having spent time as a rice farmer, Akira brought a unique perspective on Japanese food, from the quality of the rice to the finer details of the cuisine, which made every bite more interesting. We had asked for a lighter lunch since we had an early dinner planned, and he adjusted the plan right away without any fuss. We explored this quieter, more local neighbourhood before visiting Kishimojin Temple, where Akira treated us to sweets from an old shop nearby. From there we explored Harajuku and Omotesando, then finished the day at the Shibuya crossing. Throughout the tour Akira took candid photos of us and sent them at the end, which was a wonderful bonus. A long day of walking, but worth every step. Highly recommend touring Tokyo with Akira!

We had a fantastic experience on our walking tour! Akira was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming, and helped us feel comfortable and confident during our first time in Japan. He showed us both the must-see highlights and hidden gems we would never have discovered on our own. We learned so much about the culture and local area, and the tour was a wonderful way to get our bearings and start our trip. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Japan for the first time

Dear Megan, Thank you so much for the wonderful review. It was my pleasure to be part of your very first Japan visit. I was wondering if it was a bit too long of a walk for the very first full day in Tokyo but I am so happy that you all had a great time.
