“Three Days with Akira—The Best Way to Experience Tokyo!”

We hired Akira for three days in Tokyo, and we are so glad we did! The variety of places and experiences he introduced us to made us feel like we truly got to know the city. Akira showed us Tokyo’s highlights, including Tsukiji Market, Ginza, Harajuku, Omotesando, and the famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing. What made our time especially memorable, though, was everything beyond the typical tourist stops. We visited Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines, where he shared insights into Japanese culture, religion, and traditions. He also took us into a quiet residential neighborhood for an amazing authentic Japanese lunch at a local restaurant we never would have found ourselves. Another unexpected favorite was a hidden gem of a fruit stand with some of the best fruit we have ever tasted! These local experiences became some of our favorite memories. Akira expertly guided us around Tokyo using public transportation, making a huge and potentially overwhelming city feel easy to navigate. He was always attentive to our group’s needs and preferences and adjusted our plans when needed. We loved the balance of lively shopping districts, delicious food, historic sites, and glimpses of everyday neighborhood life. Having three days with him gave us time to appreciate Tokyo’s many different sides and develop a deeper understanding of Japanese culture. We highly recommend Akira, especially if you can book him for multiple days. Our time with him was a highlight of our trip and left us with memories we will always treasure!
